I've exchanged some PM's this morning that have piqued my curiosity. Has anyone ever had an affair with a very conservative religious man or woman? Who initiated it? Was there a ton of guilt? How did it end?

Yes. The guilt comes and goes but diminishes in intensity somewhat. Never completely goes away though.

I have had an affair with a very conservative religious woman. Even though she was much older than me, I guess you could say I initiated it but our relationship wasn't immediately romantic or sexual and took some time to progress. Initially yes there was a lot of guilt for her (less for me as I was single) but over time it diminished though it never completely goes away and sometimes there are attempts to rationalize the behavior. It hasn't completely ended...over the years we have drifted together again then apart...then back together again.

Religious or not, I think most people experience guilt...the only difference is probably its source.
