I have a hard time wanting to believe that writers on Lit don't want to discuss their writing. I am not really surprised, though. I am really not sure many people here qualify as auteur.

Are you equalling "don't want to discuss their writing" with "don't want to discuss their writing in a separate forum"? Hafta call shennanigans on that.

As I've said over and over again, I'm all for talking writing. And do, when I have something comprehensible to say. I just don't see why elsewhere, and not here.

BTW, this thread is not about writing.
