Guess you just struck a nerve then.

I guess so. Well, I have that category up to the first cap level, which means the three entries are done, and the first mini-goal complete. Also by getting those three stories done I have the Immunity for Illustrated stories valid.

Now the BDSM category to conquer. :D

Hehe somehow I have a feeling that category will come a bit easier [or harder as it may be :D ].

It is a wee bit easier for me to write - as long as I'm writing from the submissive point of view and only slip in some of the Dom's POV. The Mercy chapters will fill that category. Then I have to go to Celebrity. I have two ideas for that, both humiliating for Ashton Kutcher. I'm not sure why I find him such an easy subject to contemplate writing about. Normally I run from the celebrity category. lol

LOL wouldn't surprise me if it was because he tends to appear rather arrogant and has been known to play tricks on others. Interestingly enough my celebrity story has been the slowest to garner votes, it's been up for days and has all of 7 votes.

First, my apologies for disappearing in the middle of this conversation - but before I explain why, let me answer your post. He's an easy target and he set himself up to be, especially when agreeing to live with Demi and her ex-husband Bruce!

Personally I don't really care for the Celebrity category. I know, that's one more category I don't like, how do I manage to submit anything to Lit., right? ;) But I feel strange writing about people I don't know. With the regular categories, their all fantasy people I create, so no one really is being "lied" about.

Now, about why I disappeared.

My eldest daughter has to leave for her college classes around the time I disappeared from Lit. She came to the door and said her car was stuck in the mud, so I went out and tried to push her out. That didn't work, wouldn't even budge, so I went back into the house and got daughter #2 and the son. We got it to move, but not unstuck. I went to the garage and tore apart a cardboard box, wedged the two pieces under the front tires and got the tires onto the box and almost got the car out, but not quite. Another trip to the garage and back to the car, this time with plywood boards. Wedged them under the tire, but alas, the Cadillac is done budging. It now sits with the rear tires on gravel, the front tires in mud.

Well, now I have to drive the other two kids to school using the other daughter's Jeep, because the Cadillac is blocking the driveway and garage, where the SUV is parked. Those two kids end up being late for school. I use the Jeep and get the college kid to school and she's late for her first class, but only by a couple of minutes.

I begin the 45 min. trip home and my check engine light comes on. *sigh* So I watch my gauges and make my way to the nearest gas station, where I check the oil and I'm a quart low. I take care of that and when I'm just about to pour in my oil, an old man comes out and offers to help, then he stops and says, "Seems like you've done this before." I tell him I have and explain it was one of the things my dad made me learn. Then a second man comes out and says, "I was going to back him up, but I don't have gloves." Seriously - you need to wear gloves to pour in a quart of oil? But I did appreciate their offered assistance and I thanked them, then I headed home.

I walk in the door and am greeted by a pile of shattered glass. The kitten (and yes, she's okay) knocked over a floor lamp and the frosted glass shade lies in thousands of pieces. I've had the lamp for probably 18 years. It was a set of three. I'm now down to 2. Well, the lamp is cleaned up and I have my lunch beside me and now I am going to just not move for a while, for I fear something bad may happen.

I'll pick up the son at 3, the daughter at 5 and the other daughter at 7. That's my Tuesday - how's yours?

I actually did some research on Gail, the celebrity I wrote about, and incorporated some of the things she's talked about in just a small attempt to make it feel a little less lied about. Of course the sex thing I have no idea so thats all lies so maybe it doesn't validate it, but I tell myself that it did. :D

Wow that wasn't too bad, I think I submitted the latest one on Friday and it got approved this morning.

Ummm check engine light came on in the Jeep but there's an O2 sensor that usually acts up in crazy weather. I keep a code reader in the Jeep and pulled and cleared that code. Was fairly queasy in class due to just getting over that stomach flu but otherwise was ok. The teachers snagged some school goodies for our trip this weekend to Richmond, school notebook and a backpack. I still don't understand that backpack idea with the rope for straps but eh free is free.

Wow, Red. Hugs for you!

And that was one large post.
You know, turn the two guys at the gas station into a surprise threesome and you'd almost have another story to sub right there! :D:devil:

The lights on all our cars come on all the time, the spouse says, "It's an emission thing, don't worry about it."

I just think I'm going to have way too much fun humiliating Ashton, I feel bad for him. :D

Yes, please send. though I'm not Catholic.

I'd have to take 30 years off these two men, or add 20 more to mine.

I believe the kitten now is fighting ear mites. I'm beginning to wonder if we didn't get a defective kitten. ;) But I love her, even if she's costing me a lot of $$ and we've had her only for about 6 weeks.

Red in red. Kisses to you darling. Hope your week straightens out and flies correctly.

Hmmm well that's news to me, apparently an unmarried couple living together in VA is a misdemeanor.

Not much really, was just fairly interesting. The state is currently working on getting rid of that law though apparently efforts to get rid of a similar law in Florida in 2011 failed.

It probably failed because it was grouped with other laws that the government didn't want to get rid of. That's usually the case as to why those laws remain on the books.

----

Morning all. I hope you're all having a good one.

I'm sitting here stunned by the news coming out of Dale County, AL concerning the boy who was kidnapped and now being held in a bunker underground by a man, who got on a bus, shot the bus driver and took the child - the child, according to police, is not related to the man.

I wish I was a parent that kept my kid in a bubble, but I'm not. It's instances like these that make me want to be though.

In other news, daughter #1's car is out of the mud, and daughter #2 has a dentist appointment. And I just saw a clip on the news of a guy doing a balancing act on a high wire. He walked from the top of one apartment building to another without a tether or net. STUPID!!!!

Mental health care improvement can NOT come any sooner!!!

Progeny arrived at school this morning for his 8 am class only to find it cancelled, the professor was, umm STUCK in the mud LOL

I spent most of the morning in a meeting because several teams of programmers, developers, and model architects are "upset and stressed" because my team is far ahead of them and months ahead of schedule set up by the company. I tried to stifle laughter when I heard them complain, but when an executive burst out I joined him.

Basically, these people don't work like us and get shit done. They sit around for an hour or 2 each day and discuss how they're going to approach the day's tasks instead of having the leaders say who does what, how it's going to be done, and if there's a problem, who to see.

When asked how they'd rectify the situation, one manager said to have us not work for a month. A vice president said, "Sure, we'll have them on a paid vacation. Meeting's ended."

What we're going to do now, starting this morning, is my team is going to help the others, we're going to dole out the daily tasks for them :)

I certainly agree with you on the mental health care.

I ended up working on the puzzle today, I got a lot of it done and am quite happy with myself. lol I'll be leaving for clarinet practice with the son and then I won't be back until around 8:45 or so tonight.

RJ - there are leaders and followers. Recent studies have proven the concept of "teamwork" has been overdone because it has created legions of drones who cannot think or work on their own.

As one who has done a fair bit of work with Mental Health issues in Canada, I feel for you. It is one of the areas Canada is ahead of the US, but there is still a fair distance to go.

I am finally up & out of bed and OUT. Even though the coffee shop is one block away (literally) I wasn't sure if I could go that far. I've been that weak. Glad I did, I feel better, more alert and oddly, ran into friends of my parent's. Plus I have started some new work to get done for January. I have got to get my work ethic back.

My team thought of why we're so far ahead of everyone else and came to these conclusions:

1. Of the 8 of us, only one has a 4-year degree, and that's in English, the rest of us have 2-year, associates degrees

2. All 8 of us have children, have shown we're committed and dedicated

3. We're the oldest on average of all the teams. The youngest member is 39, most are 52-56

4. We all don't sit around and discuss our feelings EVERY FREAKING morning. The only times we have team meetings are when the executives call for them or we're out of soft drinks and water and have to decide whose turn it is to get it.

Add to the fact that older people tend to have better work ethics, unless the younger ones have had it drummed into their heads by their parents or employers who value such things.

Okay, I've gotten 4 pages written and I don't want to wear out my welcome here. Heading home and back in a few.

The day isn't over RED and there is always tomorrow. I hadn't written and now I am not feeling the urge. I got home and started feeling mehh again, so I have opened a window to see if there is something in the air bothering me. It will be mild enough here for a few hours that I can afford the slight chill.
