Hi Folks,

I seem to have attracted a mole!

I have always complained about the disparrity of readers to voters and I have deliberately set myself up to challenge the Status Quo!

I am of the opinion that if readers are allowed to read and not vote then good writers will get dissilusioned and bad writers will bast out crap!

I can remember that when I first viewed the contents of the 'New Stories' it would be splattered with red 'H,s'. Go count how many there are today.

I am going to submit quite a few stories and I am not going to imply or reveal that there are follow up chapters in the title, but I am going to challenge my reades to vote if they want to read further!

Why would I stoop to such a level?

I am a writer and with-out feedback and voting I cannot improve my writing!

I am not well edecuated, I never leared to write joined up writing, yet I was to be a senior Computer Diagnostic Consultant and worked all over the world.

I have stories in all sorts of genres, mysterious, erotic and yes self agrandoising, but they are all interesting!

My challenge is therefore in two parts!

First to The owners of this site:

Stop the rot! Make readers vote and respond to get further access!

Second to the reader:

Vote and comment or get more and more of drivel and non of my stories!

Warch this space for grandious reaction from people who have never submitted a story!

That should work a charm. Readers are free to do as they like. And, I know this will come as a surprise, but in the publishing world, readers/buyers are considered more precious than authors, so I doubt the Web site will have much interest in your proposal/demand--or that readers will bother with you much.

The voting system was changed (improved) because, just as you say, the site was plagued with far too many pink squares. The reduction has nothing to do with declines in voting or writing ability.

I always thought that in a democracy, voting was a personal choice. Perhaps you need to start a Cuban site.

"Comment if you want more" is a common tactic in fan fiction. It's often a sign that the writing is at a fourteen-year-old level...
It's also a sign that the writer does not want to get better at their writing-- just wants the props. And I don't read bad writing for fun....

Hi Ron, still on the same campaiign and still not providing links?

That's right, it's me -the "computer illiterate" that reckons if you want people to read your stories you should make it as easy as possible for them.

Or didn't you go back to your thread in the Story Discussion Forum on this same subject?
