It's funny, isn't it - it might be thought that women of our age (and I'm just a little older that you) would be massively flattered by the attentions of such young men. And I'm sure there are, and there's nothing wrong with that, but it doesn't work for me either! I have a step-son in his twenties, that's a big factor, I think.

I like the experience of an older man, the calmness, the authority, the confidence. And I love the mature look too, salt and pepper hair, a properly aged face. I didn't feel like that when I was twenty, but it's definitely where I am now.

I've always dated (and married) much older men, just for these reasons, even in my 20's. I've found very few younger men appealing, although I admit there are one or two I've met here at Lit with "old souls" that I can chat with and age isn't a factor, but they're at least in their 30's. Anyone under 30 just makes me wince a little.
 
Too Reserved

Speaking mainly of last several years with miscellaneous dates from dating sites like Match.com. I wrote this in my diary: "I wish I had not been so reserved." There were opportunities for intimacy and sex I think, but I let them pass without pressing the issue. Waiting too long for 'that signal'; afraid that if I pushed too hard I would be rejected. There, I said the word: 'rejected'. A lot of that was before I starting perusing Lit boards and stories and Tumblr images. I think I have learned a lot here. Will not be so tentative in the future. After all, being overly gentlemanly has not gotten me where I want to be. Gotta get going...just turned age 79! :)

Mixed week....Job offer followed by legal crap with some evil people....BUT I GOT A JOB OFFER!!!!! Take that life!!!!!
 
My dog does this hilarious thing when he's laying down. He stretches by holding his front legs down alongside his body. He looks like he's ski jumping.
 
Trying to find "Head down arse up" - most frustrating when you can't find a location you've been to previously and I do like the views on offer....
 
It's funny how quickly things can change and one can be replaced so easily.
