You know, it's a theory I've had for many years that civilization is much older than current historical thought would believe. I think there was a world before this one that was full of things we call myth and legend. I think those things were real, because the world was different then, even down to the laws of physics.

We dimly remember it, pass it down in secret histories.

They don't. One can cherry-pick among cultures to find such stories (floods, too) but a survey would find many more with very different tales. Same goes for 'religious' beliefs. One of my fave texts is THE BIRTH OF THE GODS by Guy E Swanson, who analyzed studies on 50 'primitive' (untainted by proselytizing religions) cultures worldwide. He found certain structural links to some beliefs -- like, cultures with multiple power centers tended to be polytheistic -- but no commonality. Their stories and beliefs differ vastly.

Some say this. Some say that. Cthulhu knows best. :cool:

Meanwhile, CostCo roasted chicken is great on a lazy day. With a good double IPA. And Doritos.

Unbeknownst to me, my breast was out of the neck of my shirt and the charger cord for my phone brushed acrossmy nipple...gave me a little tingle lol
 
ok the only ones who are willing to help me move are my Funeral Director & Mortician friends.
Makes me wonder if it is novelty of moving a live body :eek: :D

I'm with you on the substantial changes. I'm working on it. And now that I'm not working I have the time to spend getting it done. :)
 
So lady bird in the UK is an insect (ladybug here) and not the nickname of a former first lady? Why the bird part?
