Random things I love

Before sunrise Sunday mornings with a warm pot of Chai and Adrienne Rich poetry

Yoga-induces tranquility...

The nape of a woman's neck

The feel of wet clay drying under my nails and on my hands after sculpturing

The unique flow when writing (it does not happen often but when it does...)

Being able to negotiate dental cleanliness using 17 different strategies in three languages with my 5 year old, but not having to use them. When a gentle "Sweet it's time to brush your teeth" will suffice.

When time zones work for and not against me

Finding Her after what seems like an endless lifetime of having to accept she is not out there. Believing in happy endings and fairytales again

Crushed ice

Pushing boundaries

Frida Kahlo

Lighting candles

Wu Wei

Finally not fighting sleep anymore... when it eventually happens after days or hours.

The beaches at the Isle of Wight

Dancing cha cha- slide with a 5 year old and a 43 year old and wondering who's going to mess up first!

Sarah Mclachlan!

Orchids... especially pods - in anticipation of a beautiful perfect bloom

Watching a toddler's insecure anticipation while feeding squirrels at Hyde park in London.

That first incredibly delicious scoop of Haagen Dazs Strawberry cheesecake ice cream

reminds me of Oliver

Orion in the sky.
My hand on tree bark.
My son's laugh.
My husband's eyes.
The texture of my skin.

I dug this site.

And I found it randomly, which I love to do. Alertness is rewarded by random enrichment and a very challenging array of nasty secrets discovered. Those last are hard to deal with, sometimes. But the zingers make up for 'em.

The smell of fresh baked bread.
Strong fresh coffee.
The feel of my wife sleeping beside me.
Watching a rose open for the first time.
Blue Grass Music
The feel of a bat in my hand as I hit the ball cleanly.
The feel and smell of wood being shaped by me.
The smile on someones face when I help them.
The smile on someones face when they receive an unexpected gift.
A good cigar.
Good Tequila, ice cold.
Knowing that my friends are okay.
Writing a story for someone, and being told they truly enjoyed it.

Two men PM'ing me at once. :D
It is so rare for me to get pm's from men. (with the exception of one regular pmer). For that matter, I don't get that many PMs.

Oh, and Kara- good to see you. ;)
