So sayeth Jerry 'Moonbeam' Brown in response to the state of California's ballooning debt. And, of course, the first public interest sector threatened with cuts were the school systems.

California has not only been bleeding money, it's been bleeding businesses. More and more are fleeing the state outright or setting up out of state subsidiaries as revenue centers thereby avoiding the CA taxes.

I tried to research exactly how many Californians are NOT paying into the state income tax system and couldn't find that data anywhere. I'll keep digging because I believe that CA has reached the tipping point where more than 50% of the states potential tax payers are paying nothing at all in state income taxes.

Back in Feb. 'Moonbeam' projected a budget shortfall of approx. $9.6 billion. Independent analysts opined that Brown had over estimated revenues by some $6.8 billion. Which if you add the analysts forecast to Browns forecast you arrive at the current shortfall. Just where did 'Moonbeam' think all that revenue was coming from?

Regardless, the shit's about to hit the fan in CA. Let's see how all this talk of raising taxes even more works out.

Faux conservatives, like the OP, experience lotsa angst cuz people escape taxation. He sounds like Obama, ITS NOT FAIR!

The real problem is theres never gonna be enough money to satiate the liberals and faux conservatives. They know the value of nothing but the money keeps their spawn employed.
