My take on rude PM's.

Okay, I'm not a woman, but I thought I'd give my two cents worth anyway. I used to go to a number of AOL chat rooms as early as 1995. I am a writer, or at least try to be, and around 1998 I was writing from the point of view of a very complex female character. I needed to learn some things from a female perspective so I created a female username and logged on. Every time I logged on, withing five minutes I would be flooded with rude, stupid and immature messages. It was an eye opener for me, but it shows that these cretins have always been around and will continue to be.

Yes, I have only a few posts, but I also just joined recently.

I am glad that you have an understanding of what women sometimes have to put up with. The feminist in me has a field day with it. All I would like is respect, not only for me personally but for others on Lit. Don't assume just because we are on this type of website that we are automatically interested in cyber or the exchange of erotic emails. There are plenty of women here that probably are interested in that, so go bother them and fulfill their desires.

Curious, do men also have erotic, "do u wanna cyber" pms as well?

Would like to see both sides of it, if possible, Thanks!!!

Thanks for that. Its always nice when people are sweet towards you. That is one of the reasons why the pm I received bothered me. Up until that point I hadn't been that active on Lit and the things I did post really didn't hint that a pm of that nature would have a positive effect on me.

And no, no step daddy will EVER be needed. As he has pointed out on several occasions, I am happily stuck with him for life... , eternally grateful for that. Thanks though for your kind offer. Even if I was interested, which I am not, I am afraid you would have to take a number, heh.

Of course, I don't know what I'd do with it if I did receive one. There are way too many good stories on Literocita, if that's what I want, to waste time on cyber. I'm mean, how hard up can you be?

Lucky is a matter of opinion. However in this case the man merely wanted my personal opinion concerning my interest in having a Daddy. He claims that he assumed the only way he would receive a response from me was by cyber pm-ing me. HA!

And if the guy wants to cyber, obviously he is hard up

When I first read your response I thought "No way!" however my opinion has altered a bit. Last night's latest cyber attempt from a nameless stranger did bud into a normal, non erotic conversation. Yes he was interesting and I was amused but its too soon to tell if this is going to become a lasting friendship or not. I answered his question about my interests in Daddy and he answered my inquiry of why he tried cybering with a stranger...He thought I would be ignore him otherwise.

And it's odd how many more I got after Foof and I went 'public'. For a while there it was like I had a target on my back. These were also by women with hardly any posts at all, and needless to say I knocked them all back.

I found it odd that before when I was 'single' on Lit, no-one was really interested.

I agree totally. Not only does the generalization give women a bad name but at the same time it shows the desperation of the men who are unsuccessful. At the same time I find the whole thing a bit depressing.

To answer your question, no I don't think so. Until I had openly declared in my signature line that I had found someone I hadn't received a single offer. Since that point I have received several. It happened to me as well.
Not sure why the catalyst seems to be declaring your partnership but that might just be the case.

Any thoughts as to why?

And thanks for sharing your experiences. Thus far not too many men have offered opinions in that area.

It was a misunderstanding on my part, blame it on my allergy meds, I misread something you said.
I agree totally that some women prefer and seek married men. One of my aunts is famous for that, heh, so no offense taken. Both sides do it obviously. You know what they say, all is fair in love and war

LOL! No, there are no pictures of me on this site, nude or otherwise, nor do I intend to post any. I am entirely too shy to attempt that endeavor.

You are right, this is a sexual based board. However just because I post here, as do others, that does not mean perfect strangers have the right to solicit us for senseless cyber. That is what annoys me...the rights some assume they have.

I think that my message of "Don't bother me for cyber" has gotten through. This thread and my Daddy has helped quite a bit. Thanks all!!

I would imagine almost every female in lit has had at least a dozen cyber PM's from guys. A guy once told me for every girl he PM'd his success rate was about 1 in 50!!! Seems like a lot of effort to me. I really can't be bothered with the opportunistic only here for cyber guys, if they can't make an effort neither will I.
