whats good lubricant for anal ??? is vasaline a possibilty and are condoms something we should use??

I prefer olive oil. Condoms would depend on whether you are in a committed, monogamous, disease-free relationship, or not.

Like others have said, it depends on the status of your relationship. I like wet platinum silicone lube and it is condom friendly.

In a monogomous relationship condoms are optional depending on comfort level. They are better for situations where you want to move from anal to vaginal sex, no rushing off to wash up required!

Now that I know a little more, I'm ashamed to admit trying all sorts of lube with unpleasant results. Dont use baby oil. Don't use vaseline. Don't use glycerine. They all work fine for lubricating purposes but often have nasty after effects. In a pinch, provided no condoms are involved, vegetable oils work well.

I think the good old KY Jelly gel works really well. I had read that a condom was a good idea, because bacteria could get up inside his cock, but my husband and I never used one. Just remember to have him wash up good afterwards before he puts it into your vagina.

Agreed. Dr. Sue Johansen recommends always using a condom for anal sex...one of the rules of safe sex. It's not conditional on being in a monogamous relationship.

Condoms for anal, a discussion we have a lot here. I would recommend them for safety sake. Better safe than sorry.

As for lubes, I really like silicone lubes for anal play. They are slicker and last longer wihtout becoming gummy. I have never had to reapply silicone lube like I have water-based lubes. That said, any water-based lube would work pretty well. Whatever you chose, just stay away from oil based lubes, especially if you are using condoms.

Oh and use LOTS of it! There's never enough lube!!!

My new gf and I have been using this stuff called JO... It doesn't get sticky like a lot of lube and it lasts forever.

Personally, I don't use condoms for anal but, it's something that you should at least discuss with your SO.

And when it comes to anal i dont like to use condoms, I prefer to feel the heat and tightness.

Good idea to have a flannel and bowl warm water ready tho
