I was going to let this thread die but I had to comment. Said owner of weed is almost 25 yrs old and if he'd fucking grow up and wash his own laundry this would never have happened. I used to check pockets and any money I found was my TIP. He should a) wash his own clothes B) take better care of his weed.
Yes he smoked it and all that whining and bitching was for nothing.

Yep I agree with you.... and sadly, if I had seen the thread soon enough I would have told you that the potency would be the same.

Don't ever dry weed in the oven, it'll lose its potency. Not so much that it's no longer active but enough that you want to avoid it.

Dry it slowly and gently. Under lamps is the best but the sun would work fine too.

One of my friends has also used a microwave and said it was okay but I'd be careful with that.

I couldn't help but laugh when I read most of this thread.
Most of the elements that cause euphoria are not broken down by water. So drying your 'puff daddy' in a stove or laying it int he sun or even putting it in the microwave isn't going to affect its potency much if at all. But it surely won't make it taste any better either.

Here in CA I can a quarter of some pretty good weed for $70.

I might be pissed if my weed was washed, but as long as it gets me high and its not a crappy high then its all good.

in the future if this happens get the "herb" under a fluorescent light bulb asap...these bulbs do not put off enough heat to activate the THC but will still dry the weed out...if you let it airdry it will become moldy and taste terrible

i know this thread is really old and im not even sure if anyone still even reads it, but seeing this happen before , the best way is to take it out of the bag and just set it to air dry, it doesnt take long, and it does taste a little different, and the potency is slightly altered, but it definitely still does the job. the whole oven thing seems a little absurd, too much heat

I may have some small knowledge of this subject.

Now having said that, drying loose or "shake" smoke in the oven is best done in some kind of screen device to hold it off any hot surface at low temperature about 110-130 Deg.F works.

Now having said that. The best way to dry leaf indoors, is in a stocking, or buds with leaf attached hung from a line suspended where the air vent from the central air and heat can get to it.

I ...err, Someone I know found a Quarter pound in a gallon zip loc of green sucker leaf stashed in a wall for a couple of years they had forgotten about.

It was Hydroponically grown and had gained potency to the level of medium grade Buds and had a minty flavor and was smooth!
