Publishing a story - problem

I have 9 published stories and they all took around two days as pending before they were published. My most recent one is now over two weeks and it still says pending. Has anyone had this issue before? Is there a way to fix it?

Unfortunately sometimes stories seem to slip through the cracks in the approval procedure. Have you checked here? Story Pending For More Than 72 Hours? Please Read.

I think the advice, if your story has been pending for 15 days or longer, is to delete it and resubmit. But others have more experience. I'm sure they'll be along shortly to confirm or correct.

I would try messaging Laurel first (before deleting and resubmitting). It may or may not work, If you get no movement in the day or two after that (you are extremely unlikely to get a response regardless), then try the delete and resubmit.

This has happened to me twice in the past few months.

In both cases, I waited until the fifteenth day and then sent a polite message to Laurel. I received no reply, but the stories were released for publication within hours.

My last two stories sailed through the process normally, so as @StillStunned mentioned, sometimes things just fall through the cracks, especially when a contest is running, such as the current Valentine's Day contest.

Don’t worry. As long as you don’t even think about breaking content rules, using AI, or incorrectly punctuating your dialogue, you should be perfectly safe!

As I was quickly reading that, I read punctuating as penetrating originally. I reread it more carefully when I got to dialogue, which was not the word I was expecting to get next.

My first was, I really don't want Laurel judging my sexual activities, but nothing I could physically do would come close to things she's read thousands of times. She has to know more sexual fantasies and a wider range of them than any sex counselor.
