Pubic hair problem?

Hi everyone!

Okay, I've got a question for you. My boyfriend told me that my pubic hair can be rather irritating to his face. I've tried shaving it once before, but it was really uncomfortable to me. I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions I could try? I thought that trimming it might help, but I really don't know. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! :)

Browse through the old threads here, and look for threads about Magic.

Magic Shave is a depiliatory product marketed to black men that can be found in the ethnic products section of Walmart, Walgreens, Target, and many other drug/department stores.

Do a patch test first, because it can cause a rash if you're sensitive, but many of the women around here swear by it.

I had the same problem recently. Trimming for me is MUCH better than shaving.

Get our boyfriend to help. Make the whole experience a lot more fun.

Get a new boyfriend.

Yeah, I know it sounds insensitive and flippant, but if he wants to change that it's only the beginning. Find somebody who will accept you as you are while understanding that you will obviously grown and change over time - but don't settle for somebody who wants to determine those changes for you in advance, let him foist off his judgemental tendencies on somebody else.

OK, OK, I'll relent. You can ask first if it's just a ploy 'cause he's into you being shaved, or if he's serious. Then you should get a new boyfriend.

No no, it was nothing like that! He just mentioned that it was irritating. He didn't tell me he wanted to shave, or anything like that! I love him a lot, and just was trying to think of ways to make it more comfortable for him. This has nothing to do with him wanting to "change me".

OK, Curious

Then go with Wierd Harold's suggestion, IMHO.

But first please go register - it can be utterly anonymous if you like, but we get too many unregistered posters, some of which are hurtful, spiteful trolls, and we don't want to think of you that way... but we need SOMETHING to call you, ya know?

SURGI-CREAM found on the web or at your local Rite Aid store is my pick for removal.
Is the hair irritating to him because it is wiry? You could try using a lot of conditioner down there to help soften it up. :)

By all means trim it...I personally can use a depiliatory...burns and breaks me out...most of them your not supossed to use in that area either so watch out if you do decide to get one...hair clippers are great to trim with and getting the boyfriend to help is also a great idea...my SO trims mine :) Wonderfull experience...and there's nothing wrong with you wanting to please your man...just so long as he's pleasing you too :) Good Luck!!!
