If Couture did make a mistake in typing, then his/her addition skills are sub-par. The two numbers, one even and one odd, still added together to make an odd number, which as i've already said is impossible. Now, you would have thought that once you accidently typed an odd number, you would have caught yourself once adding it up. Two odds equal an even, two evens make an even, and an odd plus an even makes an odd! Wow, I should be a math teacher, but then i'd have to join a union

It's simple, SF. Let n and m be any integer, and let a = 2m and b= 2m, c = 2m+1, d = 2n+1

now, a + b = 2m + 2n = 2(n+m). This is clearly divisible by two, so is even.

Similarly for a+c, b+c, and c+d, TrackStars results can be shown to be correct in all cases.

So he was quite correct to post what he did.

It's because Couture nailed Track is outright misrepresentations and errors. Track is too cowardly to post back to the thread where he was caught out. Hence the new posting (see it at the end). And a new error and false accusation.

Track claims Bush tested above 1400 (total SAT),
(see the original posting below).

Couture said the total SAT was 1191.

The corrrect figure is 1206.

Track has also made the implausible claim that GWB was in the top 25% of his Yale undergrad class, when he graduated.

Track also claimed Gore's total SAT scores were lower. That has been demonstrated wrong by Couture and myself.

It can be seen that this is a sleazy attempt to focus on a typo in someone who had it basically correct, when Track's numbers and claims were entirely bogus.

While a little unclear, it seems to say that Coutures figures included an even and an odd; and that Couture erroneously added them to an odd total. Yet Coutures addition is fine.


Track's claim that this 'odd' outcome is impossible is FALSE, and further inconsistent with the rest of his own posting. To wit:

Here Track gets it right, and despite four earlier errors, the latest in addition, recommends himself as a math teacher.
