Protests, protests everywhere!

I don't doubt your intention, war is a last resort. How realistic is it to expect global peace when this cannot even be accomplished in our own relationships and communities...?
Then what use is war?

I'm not sure how you figure the anti-war protests aren't getting appropriate air time. I have friends that are anti-war and they admit the anti-war protests are getting the grand majority of the coverage.

MSNBC just did two reports on demonstrations, the first pro - and the second anti-war.

The pro-war people got a sympathetic correspondent walking around and asking them questions about how much they support the soldiers.

The second one featured footage from the air, with a voice-over talking about police efforts to contain them.

By the way, there were four hundred at the pro-war rally and tens of thousands in NY.

LC, could you provide a link on that article. I've been looking for it for a while and can not find it on UPI. Is it a very current article, as I've only checked todays UPI index.

Thanks. I like this article and would like to forward it to several of my "protesting" friends.

Don't hold your breath waiting for that link.

Now it's OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM
HOMETOWN SUPPORT

Winston Churchill said (I think it was Winston) "In war truth is always the first casualty."

Well I will admit there was much more coverage of the anti-war protesters this weekend. I also saw a PBS documentary showing how Saddam has mistreated his own people and used chemicals. I would like nothing better than to be proved wrong - have all Iraq soldiers surrender and have the war be over. I'm afraid is not going to happen without hundreds more people dying.
