As Defined in the Urban Dictionary but not limit to:

PROGRESSIVE:

A term that former liberals co-opted when they discovered that their delusional beliefs didn't fit any recognized definition of the word liberal.

These fools are frequently self-loathing, unsuccessful losers who can only feel better by projecting their failures onto their opponents.

A "Progressive" is identified by the following behaviors/beliefs:

- Knows what is best for everybody else.
- Claims to be well-informed even though they get their news/talking points from CNN and/or MSNBC.

- Believes that personal wealth is evil yet they fawn over wealthy celebrities and limousine liberals.

- Believes corporations and profit are evil.

- Thinks name-calling and demonizing opponents is the same as debate.

- Accuses every person with a dissenting view of being a racist or Nazi.

- Believes in the rights of everyone, except those who disagree.

- Thinks the Constitution is flawed because they can't control all 3 branches of government.

- Believes YOUR success could only have come at THEIR expense.

Every new label they used is co-opted on opposites day by some Marxist professor. With the exception of Bernie Sanders they all refuse to identify their leftist beliefs with where they properly align.

Part of that is true tedric because they are aware that they live in a center-right country, whose founding documents expressly forbid most of the things that they want to do. Part of it though is self-delusion that they are so much smarter than every leftist that ever came before them that they're going to have a magical way to get people to go along with things that will be against the individual self-interest in order to promote what they want to do to the collective without starting with coercion and ending with crushing violence even though that's how that has played out every other time in history.

I think the self-delusion part is assisted by the fact that most of them are innumerate.

Thank you!

Urban Dictionary. :)

The source to learn about munging, space dock fondue and the sour apple smoothie, and apparently for Conservative confirmation bias, when load times on infowars are slow. :D

Urban Dictionary:

Trumpster
A Trumpster is an avid supporter and follower of Donald Trump. He is their light in the darkness. They do not functIon like your average run of the mill Republican, as they only quote Fox News in their daily debacles with every other political party when it is convenient and in favor of the almighty Trump.

Sounds like ascription by a "progressive," most of whom do not possess the rhetorical skills of a 5th grader so their debates do indeed devolve into debacles.

Spealing of weak rhetorical skills, thanks for showing Emerson that the urban dictionary is actually non-partisan.

He’s too much of an idiot to realize that. Probably flew over the moron’s head in the blind rage to post a comment on the thread. But, you know, triggered, right?

Where did I say it was partisan?

I mocked the legitimacy and credibility of the source. I would say the same if someone used it for Progressive confirmation bias.

What will Kunthairy use next? 4chan? National Enquirer?

But que, thanks for confirming your partisanship, and that you don’t possess the reading comprehension skills of a 5th grader. You and the deplorable emo should get on famously. :)

Let me know the first time you call out a "progressive" for a source or quoting something that confirms their confirmation bias.

As far as sources goes these days The National Enquirer has higher journalistic standards than the New York Times.

Shooting the messenger is only effective when the message is less than accurate. The original post regardless of the source which he was merely crediting with is spot-on in its description of what a progressive is.

Feel free to dispute any or all of it in detail should you have the rhetorical chops to do so.

Ah, so it’s selective parsing now, que? My goodness, you used to be better than this. You going to say I said Conservatives like munging or the occasional sour apple smoothie next?
Anything is possible, when you selectively parse! :D

That’s usually Botany Boy’s domain.
You sending royalties his way, for using his shtick?

Me: “I prefer Brazil nuts to cashews.”

Botany Boy / que: “So basically what you’re saying is you hate cashews. Typical progressive. You also failed to mention walnuts, pecans, macadamia nuts, or hazelnuts. And what about almonds? Why do Democrats hate cashews and almonds? If you you don’t like cashews, move to Venezuela. You and your socialist friends can get plenty Brazil nuts there.”

Good news is, dumb shit like that is right up the op’s alley. Like I said, the two of you should get along like a house on fire. :)

Ohhhh no sir-eee!!!! Details and specifics are the fuckin' Kryptonite of "progressives".....kinda like standards.

Damn right he’s butt hurt. The urban dictionary drew out the “progressive” in him. He’s latched onto this thread like a tick on a dog.

I'm pretty sure he tried to sell me on the "There is nothing un-American about the totalitarian socialist state if we vote for it!! It's PROGRESS!!!" and I laughed it off with the suggestion he get a better education.

You seem upset that the urban dictionary has you pegged by definition.
Would you like some cookies and milk. It’lL help you cope. Maybe a tissue for your issue, too.

Butt hurt? Latched on? Cope? :D

Oh, shit, that’s hilarious! Hahahahhah! HahahahHa!

Perhaps these all have different meanings on Urban Dictionary?

Add "parsing" to the list of things you don't understand. It's not my fault that you don't have a basic understanding of sentence structure. I highlighted for you the parts of the sentence that are relevant to what it is you said about conservatives. Conservatives were the only political group that you included in your sentence. If you eliminate the things in your sentence that do not relate to your assertion about conservatives, and only conservatives, it makes the meaning of the sentence that you constructed a little clearer to you.

Your assertions that it is a place for conservatives to obtain confirmation bias is an independent thought. One that you denied having express. I pointed out that you expressed such a thought.

True, you did not say that the urban dictionary exists to coddle conservatives or that only conservatives fund confirmation therin, but the otherwise extraneous adjective "conservative" and you otherwise nons sequitur about the UD being a refuge for conservatives when infowars is down seemed to imply that.

If you tended to express yourself differently than how you actually expressed yourself that's really not my doing, is it?

It comes down to the fact that E40 should try to keep up with the rest of the class.

Anyone notice that he still hasn't disputed any of the items in the OP?

Nope.....just blatantly obvious by your posts. ;)

Maybe I should have posted the definition of butt hurt from the Urban Dictionary for him.
Nah, his comments would accurately reflect what he’s already showcasing to us in his comments.
