Problems Igniting thermite? this could be the answer.

The theory is that SUPER-HIGH-TECH incendiaries were installed into key structural supports of the world trade center towers when the buildings were being built in the 1970's.

Is it easier to obtain potassium permanganate or a match?

Try some powdered chlorine (for the pool) and some brake fluid.

its easier to obtain potassium Permanganate than magnessium ribbon.

chlorine and brake fluid is so south african....

The World Trade Center towers are being rebuilt. How much thermite have they ordered for the construction project?

The UN ordered it & brings it in at night in their black helicopters.
The records are hopelessly lost amid the graft and corruption at the UN.

This super-mega-ultra-high tech and completely untraceable incendiary stuff is pretty much everywhere, it could even be in the structural supports of your own house or apartment!

I would assume that most buildings have this shit integrated into them.

Most of the buildings in new york are probably loaded with thermite.

You are absolutely certain about this, yet simple algebra gives you fits and assails your self image. You do not present a compelling assertion.

And on the subject of igniting thermite, potassium permanganate may be useful but far more useful would be elemental lithium foil. It literally reacts with the humidity in the atmosphere and more easily bursts into flame. Primary lithium batteries (as well as secondary) are banned from any air travel, and have higher power (are more strongly reduced, meaning a more energetic oxidizing agent) than electrolytic manganes dioxide, the cathode (positive pole) of standard alkaline batteries.
