Supreme court passes on hearing five cases against gay marriage which allows marriage to proceed in five states.

Indiana, Oklahoma, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin.

can a man marry 2 or more women?

NO?

WHY NOT, ISNT THAT AN EQUAL RIGHT?

Yep, The Supreme Court just let that genie out of the bottle.

They still have two gay marriage cases on the docket, but I don't see how they can now reconcile allowing gays to marry in some states but not others.

Poor Vetteman, he has sworn on his sacred Marine honor (*wipe!*) to nevar...NEVAR....visit a state that legally recognize homosexual marriage. I wonder if he'll reconsider, since that number of states is dwindling quite a bit....

Damn...

Killy's on top of social issues instead of causing them....

Kudos.

Let the states and the people who live there decide for themselves. Sooner or later almost everybody comes to their senses. For once the Supremes got it right.

Divorce attorneys are celebrating, as they will soon have an entire new group of customers!!!

In America we have dual sovereignty, its called FEDERALISM. But youre not home free, if any appellate circuit rejects same-sex the whole kit & caboodle goes to the Supremes for a decision. I mean, if the votes were there they coulda OKed same-sex today, right? We were in the same fix before Dred Scott came along, then slavery was suddenly legal everywhere, not just the South. Dont forget many states passed laws against same-sex before the appellate courts changed things.

We don't put inherent rights up for a popular vote. We don't restrict marriage between races (not since 1967 anyway) and we don't restrict marriages based on national origin. The entire crux of the matter rests on whether sexuality is inherent (i.e. you were born that way) or if it is, as Julybabby is fond of lecturing us, a behavior. If it's the former, it's constitutionally protected. If it's a behavior, it's not.

If you think it's behavior, why not share with us exactly when you decided you were heterosexual. Me? I've been hetero all my life.

Youre creating a right that's never existed or imagined until lately. It doesn't exist within any of the great religions, either. Where's the precedent for it?

Rob has always been and will always be, a cowardly serial liar. He can't produce the proof of what he says about what I believe about gay marriage. Thanks for quoting the big ugly fucker. The last time he posted his pic, he looked like an uncooked corn dog with eyebrows.:D

Are you denying that you said you have a "duty" to fight against "faggotry"?

You've permanently forfeited the right to ask for proof of anything. I've provided proof three times to back up my claims against yours in the past three months and you weren't man enough to admit you were wrong. Your lack of honor brings great disgrace to the United States Marine Corps.

And all of the great religions permitted slavery.

So?

Where in the constitution does it say you can't?

Isnt it Amendment 10? Yes.

Funnily enough, the 10th doesn't mention marriage at all. There's a bit that mentions equal protection under the law, though. Want to have a go at finding it?
