I thought I would share an article that reflected EXACTLY what I thought the mistakes in President Biden’s debate prep were:

https://prospect.org/politics/2024-06-28-bidens-inner-circle-deserves-blame-debate/

😳

That ^ was a scathing indictment of the debate prep team.

They should be ashamed, and they should be fired.

🤬

If I were a conspiracy theorist, I would almost believe they sabotaged President Biden’s debate to make him look bad so he would drop out.: That is how epic their failure was.

🤬

Going with the conspiracy theory: It has been widely reported that there are a number of people in the White House who are upset with President Biden for his handling of the Israel -Gaza war, and those individuals may have orchestrated the debate prep sabotage to get President Biden "out", and get someone else "in" who would be more sympathetic to the Palestinian cause. Just a conspiracy theory; but more reasonable than most.

And it’s either that ^, or gross incompetence and negligence that put the election, the country, democracy, and the world at risk.

🤬

He had a cold. CNN didn’t ask follow up questions. A week of prep at Camp David wasn’t enough time. Trump was a bully. Now they’re blaming the debate prep team? So many excuses, so little time. 😂

So what is Trump's excuse for his daily glitches? Multiple times a day really. What's the excuse for his 90 minutes of nonstop insane lies?

Yeah Biden is old and had a really off night. He copped to it the next day. It's been a one off. Well if you don't count Fox's faked footage.

When has Trump once ever admitted to a mistake?

Biden just isn't up to the job.

Take your pick; believe the ever changing narrative blaming everyone and everything else, or believe your own lying eyes and ears.

Thanks for the link to David Dayen's article in the America Prospect. He doesn't mince words, does he?

He pointed out Joe Biden's prep team overloaded him with details, those talking points filled with lots of numbers. Dayen stated that Biden's retention of numbers isn't a strong point for Biden; his team knew that and didn't factor that well. He stumbled over them until he seemed to go off script and fell back to his comfort zone in speaking about more relevant issues. Too late in the delivery of course, but the damage had been done.

I found it very well put by Dayen when he astutely noted, "... Donald Trump walked out there, called Biden the worst president in history, brought almost everything back to his depiction of a lawless border, said it over and over again with conviction, refused to answer any question and returned to his two points, and lied his ass off. It was terrible. But if “politics is television with the sound off,” as Karl Rove once said, it was no contest."

There is some comfort for me in the mixed poll results; few viewers changed their minds. The base for MAGA is still unwavering no matter what. The swing voters are still undecided. Biden's support seemed to increase slightly, even with the perceived loss of the debate. If the last election results hold, I hope they do, then Donald Trump will become a forgotten moment in history, or perhaps be labeled a tarnished mark on Republican politics as his name enters high school textbooks and becomes a reference for budding legal scholars to study for decades to come.

Heh, as if Trump's debate performance showed him as capable or presidential. As if.

Biden's already been doing the job. Trump gave tax cuts to the rich. Woot!

OR...

Biden just isn't up to the job.

Take your pick; believe the ever changing narrative blaming everyone and everything else, or believe your own lying eyes and ears.

Or, as many of us have been saying for a while he is up for the job just fine. He's not even good on the mike. He has lost a lot between 2008 when to his benefit nobody cared what he was up to to today. Biden's gift has NEVER been on the mike. Its kinda sad that we know good and damn well that politics are like Pro-Wrestling and if you have to choose between good mike skills and anything else choose the mike!

There is blame to go around but at the end of the day the buck stops with Biden.

That doesn't mean we should not have active fact checkers in the modern day and age. Moderators who are not fact checking just shouldn't be there. If you believe, with actual good reasons that all people are biased lets get an AI. So let HAL 9000 handle it.

Biden has only been in politics for 50 years or so. He’s only participated in presidential, vice presidential and senate debates a dozen times or more. Trump was an unknown candidate so nobody knew what to expect. Maybe he just needs a little more experience.

LOL and Biden's always sucked at it. Now he sucks more at debating than before. He's still a better president than Trump ever wished to be, let alone a good human being.

An unknown candidate? Yuh huh. Not like he wasn't president from 2016-2020 and we haven't seen him running for president for the 4th time. What are you smoking?

Biden's messages are not ever-changing, and neither are Trump's. I am attuned to a man with a remarkable public service record. You seemed bent to support one who awaits trials for violence and alleged criminal conduct to interfere with a free and fair election. Yet, he is allowed to run again; strange how that works if the elected officials allow him wide latitude to do so—it seems like that smacks of allowing justice to prevail.

You're regurgitating Trump's talking points from his legal defense strategy and his political campaign blather. He is the individual blaming everyone and everything else for his failures, and you continue to believe and support his false claims.

Did you fail to note he lied and ignored the questions asked about what he would do if elected again? The poor excuse of a man is a failure, morally, politically, and business-wise as well.

You persist in clinging to an illusion–open those eyes and see the reality of it all. I know your ears have heard the words. Let go of your stubborn claims that the justice system is rigged to get him. His political views are not worth supporting by someone with your background.

When you start discussing that other people's "overloaded" our CURRENT President with anything, you've lost me. I don't want our current President to be in danger of being "overloaded" because he's our current President.

For whatever reason the left has decided that the bar for President is as low as Biden needs it to be while simultaneously saying that 45;is beyond the pale. Pick a fucking lane.

I was being facetious. We all knew that Trump would attack and what his lines of attack would be. All of us except the elderly gentleman with memory issues.

Or maybe we have had enough experience to judge Trump already based on his four years in office, his attempts to stay in office in spite of an election loss, and his subsequent attempts to regain it.

What's that old saying, "Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice..."

He doesn't need any more 'experiences' in the White House. IMHO.

It's hard to tell your comment was a facetious comment from its brevity. You diminish the elderly gentleman by whitewashing his memory issues, again, like in this statement.

Every citizen, including Joe Biden, knew how Trump would act on that stage; don't smirk and pretentiously say he didn't.

Right. He’s had plenty of experience and his opponent was entirely predictable but melted away. He needs to step away but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. The blame lies entirely with Biden and the people that have been trying to hide the severity of his cognitive decline. It wasn’t “just a bad day.” It was a fucking train wreck. The condition is not reversible.

Trump is a train wreck every day many times each day. The man can't make a speech without glitching and going off his rocker.

If you want to put the beat down on Biden, what is your excuse for Trump? You support him.

I'm a bit confused by your comments. It seems like you're suggesting that in order to comment on the conversation about struggling with an overwhelming amount of data and the fact that the President, like many people his age, might have trouble recalling specific details, one must stick to a single viewpoint. However, I don't think that's necessary.

Moving on to your point about President Joe Biden, I believe he's doing well in his role. He has a strong team of advisors and a supportive cabinet, and his decisions seem to be in the best interest of the citizens.

Did I pick a lane in stating the last paragraph that meets your expectations?

Additionally it's not just about Biden. It's about the administration and policy.

Trump glitches every single day. Multiple times a day. Everything from going off on freaking insane rants to not being able to figure out what he's saying. If he's elected he'll surround himself with loyalists and we will have an 8 of 9 conservative majority. He'll implement project 2025 and use the government to shield himself.

Biden is old. He glitched on the debate stage. Multiple reasons. He copped to it and made a turn around the very next day. (Trump continued his nonstop full speed ahead insanity tour.) Biden has surrounded himself with seasoned professionals who work within the confines of our law. We may even get a seat back on the court.

There are two very different lanes.

Guessing you've not been watching @adrina 's show and tell about Trump's cognitive decline? ;)

That would be the other 'fucking train wreck' on steroids.

[Hit post and then saw her making the same reply about Trump's handicap. LOL]

I thought I would share an article that reflected EXACTLY what I thought the mistakes in President Biden’s debate prep were:

Here's the elephant you're ignoring; none of what you claim about Trump happened at the debate. You can say so, but facts matter and the current polling shows that the voters understood what they saw. It wasn't pretty and it doesn't match up with what you're trying to say.

I suggest you get a refillable prescription for Copium and consider a few thoughts and prayers.
