Hi Guys,

Have just a few here and have to make it quick. Please forgive my bouncin in and out but I haven't a choice right now. I am not at home, I am recovering at a fellow Litsters home for a few days as I have just had a few epidural shots in the past week. My Doctor normally refuses to do them any sooner than a month apart but because of my circumstances w/ my insurance troubles, he agreed to do 2 in a weeks time. I tell ya, I can see why he doesn't like to do them any sooner. WOW!!! I am seriously going to be laid up for a few days! And will also be back on my regular amount of pain meds until I recover from this. But as soon as I'm ok, back down I go! Please keep your fingers crossed for me will ya sweeties?? The neck shot went okay, but as he told me it would be, the 2 on the lower back, each side of my spine, was AWFUL!! But it's over, I believe it will be successful and hopefully I won't need another until I am back to work and covered under my own insurance again.
I want to Thank you all for the mails, the pm's and the IM's you have sent w/ all the info you guys have found. It will be SUCH a help!! Thanks guys! Okay, I am off to ice. Any mails or pm's sure would be welcome...could use some nice correspondance to keep my mind off of the bullshit life brings for awhile. See, I have opened my home to a young friend of mine who was living in Ohio in a very explosive relationship. He beat her for the LAST time and I just HAD to get her out of that situation or I would not have been able to live w/ myself. So her and her 2 yr. old are now w/ me and thats why I'm not recovering at home...lol. Waaaay TOO MUCH COMMOTION! She's kind of taken over my house. But she's safe and thats ALL that counts! Ok, I'm off to ice, ice,ice!!! I hope you guys have a great day and I'll be back later...*hugs around*

This thread so makes me smile!! Just a quickie..had the epi shot, it went awry, punctured the Dura and now I need a "Blood Patch" ...basically they want to draw blood from my anticubital vein (arm) and inject it into the same place they did the cortisone. This will relieve me of the headaches that have taken me down to my knees! Altho I am MUCH better today. Not so sure I am going to do it. I have 3 more days to see if the headaches go away. It almost feels as if they just may do exactly that!! Keep fingers crossed, will ya please?? Until then, I have to lay very low and push the fluids..especially the coffee. No one has to tell me twice to grab a cuppa and head to bed to watch a movie!! LMSAO!!! Doesn't get much better than that! Unless, of course,...I'm not alone...

So off to bed I go!! I hope ya'all have a great day!! Stay warm!! Not sure about any of you but it's colder than hell here in Wisconsin...*ggls*.

WOW! That is so nasty! Yes keep pushing the fluids as they say and stay as horizontal as you can. Does make doing hot coffee a challenge though.

Sounds like your body is getting the balance in your spinal cord back to the way it should be. Hope you don't need that second procedure.
