Thank you my beautiful friends! And thank you both for the PMs too, it's always lovely to see the little box pop up saying I have a message!

I hope everyone is feeling vibrant and refreshed on this very sunny Friday morning! (it's divine here, and warmer than yesterday thank goodness!)

My prayers and love go out to all the soldiers being shunted about at the moment, and I pray that a miracle happens, that all millions of the prayers being said right now prevent war from happening. There is always a solution, keep praying for one.

I would like to say a prayer for my hubby's mum, may she feel soothed and healed mentally, physically and spiritually now. She is an angel, I pray she learns to take good care of herself, and gives herself all the love and time she needs to heal, or she meets someone who will take care of her.

My prayers go out to the families and friends of the Shuttle, Columbia. It exploded coming down and with the amount of debris found in different states, they fear there are no survivors. There was an Israeli astronaut with the 6 US astronauts.

I am also very upset because of the astronaut from Israel.....he
is a bright light in all the troubles that have been happening in
the Middle East.......and now this happens, and now it is a time

I ran across this thread this morning and began reading. I thought it was a new one, then I happened to look at the date of the first posts. I'm glad that it has been revived. Thank you, warmlips, for starting it.

This crazy, mixed-up world does need our prayers. My prayer is for peace, of course, but since that is most likely not going to happen in this lifetime, I pray for the leaders of the world to have wisdom beyond their abilities....wisdom that only God can impart.

I pray for all those in harm's way overseas, and for those who may be in harm's way here.

I pray for our military members, and those of our allies. My husband is in the military, as are many of our friends, so this one has a special urgency for me.

I pray for the families and loved ones of the shuttle astronauts, and for those of the astronauts still up on the space station. What they must be going through! And I pray that the astronauts will be returned safely.

I pray for the families and loved ones of missing people, such as Laci Petersen. Dear God, I know now what they are going through. I pray for my sister and her family to have the strength to get through the days now that her in-laws bodies have been found. I pray for the grace to forgive whoever murdered them, as I pray that they be caught and brought to justice.

There are so many things I pray for, too many to list here. These are the top ones in my mind right now.

I firmly believe in the power of prayer. We may not get the results we want, and that may seem like our prayers are not being answered, that God has turned a deaf ear to our pleas. But He does answer, in His own time, in His own way. That often hurts and angers us, but He sees with Eyes that we cannot.

Prayer

It does seem sometimes that there is so much to pray for and about, a sort of cosmic shopping list. The reality of life overwhlems us; sometimes, thankfully it is the good things which move us to feel joyful, yet so often it is also the sad and bad things which seem to block out all hope.

I prayer for peace, starting in my own heart, that I may be still and listen for the still small voice. If I can still my own tide long enough to hear and respond to the call of love, then maybe others can too.

... and pretty soon we'll have us a movement ... you can get ...

America is not forgotten.. nor will it ever will be. WTC was a tragic event. I remember vividly what I was doing that day. Calling and waking up my marine friend who happened to "NOT" be at his base that morning. I was the first one to call him and tell him what was going on. Then I got down on my knees and prayed to God that my friends were ok! I knew of a man that worked near the WTC and I was scared to death for him! I could go on and on telling you detail for detail about that day.. but it won't change anything. My friend and many others survived by the Grace of God. I'm thanful every day he and others did.

I say a prayer every day that no one else will be killed. That little children around the world see the good and want to do good. I pray they don't loose anymore then they already have. We "ALL" were affected by this tragedy. Not just Americans but everyone!

When we turn to God, he will show us the right way. I have been doing a lot of thinking lately about posting here in Lit. I was recently saved in Church and have been battling a conflict with myself. Technically this is a porn site. I don't see it as one and seeing people here like Warmlips that brought up a prayer thread just goes to show that there are good people here. I have come to meet soo many here that are good. And just b/c I am leading (or atleast trying to) a different way of life I'm not going to turn my back on the friends I have made here. I'm not here to judge anyone but myself. Nor was anyone on this earth put here to Judge us! God is the only Judge to me.

Now that I have preached my sermon... I will step down from my soap box. So please pray for peace, love and forgiveness.

MsAngel....first, let me say congratulations on your New Birth in the Lord.
I agree with you....this is a porn site, but there is so much good here. That seems like a contradiction, but I have "met" so many wonderful people on Lit. I struggle with my "desires of the flesh" which seem so at odds with my Christianity. But somehow I can't help but feel that this is where I need to be right now. It seems like so many of the people I've come into contact with here on Lit have just dovetailed so perfectly into my life one way or another. I know that satan likes to appear as an angel of light to fool us, but there are just too many "good" people here. Maybe we are here (Lit) for a purpose, for good. Maybe God is using some of the people here as a light for His purpose. I don't know. Could be I'm just trying to rationalize my reasons for inhabiting a porn community. Only God knows what is in my heart, even more than I do. I just pray that He will use me for His good, no matter where I am.

After the first few posts in this thread, I started reading backwards. Since then I've noticed that there are those who have suffered losses, surgeries, etc. I pray for all of you, that God will give you peace, health, whatever it is that you need. I don't know what the folks here need, but He does.

As war looms ever closer

Many prayers go out to the US troops, and also the
armed forces of Britain & Australia who have come
to help and support us.

May prayers go out to those countries who do not
support the US in this possible war against Iraq.......while
in a way I understand their reason for diplomacy, there
are a lot of things now that make war a very strong
possibility, and that these countries (they know who they
are....esp. some of them are Allies of the US) will come
around and support us and help rid the world of a dictator
and terrorism.

Sounds pretty strong for a Wednesday, but I had to
let it out.
