It is one of my favorite songs...........I actually heard it
being performed and sung at the Boston Pops concert
back on Dec. 20 as part of their holiday song selection.
It nearly brought tears to my eyes, esp. since it was
appropriate.....w/ all the world troubles that happened
in '02........

I think it would be neat to sing the song in "a cappella"

Preparing to go to war

I just read on the front page of my local paper this morning
.....says that the reservists are being called up just in case
we go to war in Iraq.........

my prayers go out to all in the US military, the US military
reserves, and their families...in this difficult time.

My prayers go out to the British troops too... of which the average age is 24, my age.

I believe that if enough people pray in the world, this situation can be changed, things can get better, so keep praying please!

I say a prayer for all the immigrants in the world who are living a clandestine life, unable to benefit from the services of the host country. I am researching the situation in Italy. It's very sad, I pray that some day soon, these far right governments get out of power, and people whose actions are done with compassion and thoughtfulness then become the leaders. It may be a big dream, but as we have seen from Martin Luther King and Ghandi, big dreams can come true.

Warmlips , I know what you mean , a good friend of mine , well actually I would say my best male friend was killed in the Falkands , he was on Sir Galahad ......... I hate to see the interviews of our soldiers , male and female , going over there , breaks my heart , as a lot of them are 20 , same age as my own son ...........

There is so much pain and suffering in the world today. I pray there may be peace among us. Peace in our hearts and faith that we will be alright. Not just American but the world. It saddens me to see people hurting all over....


If I could wave a magic wand to mend all hearts and heal all wounds I would. If I could make all the hate and anger be gone I would try. But I am no miracle person. I am just me.

I can be there for those that need me and give words of encouragement to those that need it. And I can pray that all is well in the end.

The power of Prayer is evident to me now. I have seen how it heals. I have felt it's power. God does answers our prayers. We just may not understand them at the time but in the end it always works out.

I completely agree with you. It does always work out, if we let God take over, and let ourselves be divinely guided. And even if we don't do that, it still works out in the end!
