My thoughts are with biggbear8 now though.

It's ok, sweetie,

I went and introduced myself to bear and told him that, even though I didn't know him, that I would pray for him that day and for as long as he needs it. He seems to be a very sweet man. It will be nice getting to know his gentle spirit.

Thinking and praying for USAGOLD and also everyone who has cancer at the moment, may they all be soothed by the love of all those around them, and may infinite spirit flow through them and heal every cell of their body that is out of balance.
Praying for my friend's mum who just had an operation to remove a tumour, may she continue to rest and gradually get stronger and stronger and be able to get back to what she wants to be doing.

Some sad news coming from CT

There was a terrible car accident Friday afternoon and
the mother of an old friend of mine (who I went to
hebrew school with) died after the *new* car she was
driving in either got side-swiped or rear ended (we don't
know yet what the full story is)and she plunged off the
parkway down into a pond below........again, we don't
know the full details yet of the accident---there was only
one short article on the front page of our local paper......

My dad grew up with her and they were in the same
high school graduating class.......her and her hubby
were high school sweethearts.......she is a wife, a mother,
and most recently, a grandmother......she has been a
nurse for many years........and I know her as a wonderful
lady.........

The funeral is tomorrow morning 9am, and sitting Shiva
(as is the Jewish tradition) will be from tomorrow til
Thursday. I am not going, but my parents are, as many
of their friends are too, esp. since we know her from
synagogue and from the beach.........I am sure that there
will be a lot of people there tomorrow.........

Please say a prayer or a thought for her family........

The sad thing is that now I have two old friends of mine
that are now without a parent-----twin girls who I grew
up with lost their father (heart attack) last year, and
now this happens.....and we all went to hebrew school
during the school year (2-3 times a week) and hung out
at the beach during the summer........sometimes I feel
lucky to still have both my parents, which makes me
doubly sad for my friends

On a somber note, the day after the funeral, there was
a very short article of the result from the autopsy. She
had died from accidential drowning when the car she was in
plunged into the pond. What a waste......

It's times like this when I really miss my Mom and Dad........I know that they are both happy now and pain friee.......it's just hard on us missing them and how we all laughed together on the holidays.............
