Well, todays my appt with social security. I'm trying to get on disability. If I get approved that means I'll have health insurance, and I'll be able to get a caregiver. Frankly both are needed desperately. The caregiver would mean that Kenny's load would be less, he'd be able to get some help with my care, and with the house. And the health insurance would mean that I don't run up any more dr bills. We already owe just the hospital 6 thousand dollars, not to mention the labs and the dr's. I'm working on getting state help paying for those bills.

Anyway, please everyone pray, cross your fingers, send good thoughts, whatever! I really really really need this, and if I get denied that means that I'm gonna have to get a lawyer and it could be a year before I get approved.

Fingers crossed and prayers said.

Best of luck Grace.

Fingers & *toes* crossed and sending along prayers! Good Luck graceanne!!!!

Good luck graceanne *hugs* Red tape can be an utter pain (pun not intended). I am Master's official carer and it took ages for it to get approved, even though he has been on disability for years

All fingers toes and other body parts duly crossed. I had no idea some of those bits coule be crossed!!

Sending prayers in the hope of success for you xxxxxxx

I cross my fingers, sent a prayer and hope for you that everything is turning out like you wish for.

Oh graceanne i have been thinking about you ... hoping desperately for you that all goes well. :rose:

Ok, I think things went well. I won't know for a week or so, so please keep doing whatever it is you do. Like I said, I really realy need to get approved. For now, i'm exhausted. The stupid appointment lasted an hour and a half. By the time it was over my back was killing me, and I was in desperate need of pain meds, which Iw as putting off so that I could think during the appointment. Luckily my inlaws where there by then, so I was able to go directly to bed, where I slept for the next 5 hours. I'm up for now, but I'm going to bed soon, I hope. Of course with my luck, I won't be able to sleep, or something. *sigh*

Thank you, everyone, for praying (or whatever) for me today. There are no words to describe my appreciation. I'm a big believe in prayer/good thoughts, I truelly believe that it helps

*lighting a candle and thinking good thoughts with rising smoke and flames*

You know you have my best wishes

*Still doing all that stuff she promised to and sending more extra choco covered cherries with choco inside too*

Oh, the good thinkings have just commenced, as soon as I read this and they will not stop till after I know.

Once again, thanks everyone. Nothing in the mail today, so . . . I'll make sure to let you all know when I get something. I'm hoping I wont' have to fight them, but frankly like 75% of ssi claims are denied the first time. If that happens, I'll just get a lawyer who'll work probono. It'd just be easier if I didn't have to fight them on this. *hugs*

*lights another candle for you*
