What'd you get during Black Friday shopping? Curious what your haul was. How long did you stand in line? Is it something you do every year? Is it really worth hauling your ass out of bed before dawn on your day off? I am curious, I've never gone.

I also want to know what you made today with Thanksgiving leftovers. We made lentil soup. Was a dayummm fine pot of soup.

Also: Hi. I have been MIA.

Hi ya, Sinny. Nothing and nothing.

I spent the day visiting with friends and also with my daughter. No shopping and no cooking for me. I also got started on crocheting another scarf.

Yay! Your kidlet is home. Sounds like a good and fine day. How is that other scarf you posted about, did it turn out as you hoped?

I hope that doesn't sound sad to anyone, because it was wonderful to me.

Hand pie, half a pie, whole pie? Bean pie?

Naught for me as well. I generally don't like consumer goods. However, I did order three reproduction Chinese communist propaganda posters. They look like these:

I bought them on eBay for $4.50 a piece, but it had nothing to do with Black Friday. They each measure about 20x30 inches (roughly 50x75 cm).

I'm embarrassed to admit, I have no less than 3 scarves going at once. Scarf No. 1 is ok, the yarn splits, it's cheap yarn. It still has a bit to go before it's done.

Scarf No. 2 I LOVE, love, love. It is quality yarn. It still has a bit to go before it's done.

Scarf No. 3 I just started tonight. I have a ton to do before it's finished.

Been MIA, for a bit, myself. (The place just seems to chug along, does'nt it ?)If I had a passel (passle ?)
of kiddos to shop for, maybe I would endure the torture of the insanity.

Well, you're clearly a communist, so why would anyone click your obviously Chinese links?

Yeesh, Mr Byron! What's got you so grouchy ? *hides my "Little Red Book," formerly owned by a Real Live American Communist*

Really? I'd like to have an original LRB. I have several booklets published by Novosti (the Soviet state publisher) in English from the early '70s, including one anti-Mao pamphlet. One talks about welfare in the USSR, one about education, one about the "economic advantages of socialism" and one is a biography of Lenin. I bought them at a rummage sale a couple of years ago.

And still they get them.

Is some sort of magic, perhaps?

"Irony" is no reason to click a Chinese link, my friend.

The way I see it is, they're gonna own us pretty soon anyway, so we may as well start honoring the Chairman now.
