My character took Outerverse as a last name and evetually was rewritten as a demon so. DemonOuterverse.



Way back in my online infancy, I was on AOL3.0 as JediMSTie.

Honestly I don't remember exactly how I got about to using Sybarist...

I know I went searching for a unique name to use on the boards. I remember finding a definition for Sybarite which is A person devoted to luxury and pleasure. But what I may have been searching for originally I cannot say... LOL!

I can remember finding the word Sybarist on a RPG website talking about classes of vampires, and the second class was a Sybarist: Narcisistic, caring only for pleasure I wouldn't consider myself narcisistic, but it was a cool name!

Now as to how I got from one to the other I cannot tell you...

I still like it though.

I had been playing a character called Chicklet on Unreal Tournament, who was named thus because of the chiclet gum, but the "k" sorta made it sound cuter... heh. now it seems stupid, but oh well!

Most combinations of my real name are usually taken so I tend to use native animals as they are less likely to have been used, plus I hate numbers after my name. I like quolls, they look very cute and cuddly but are capable of removing a finger or three when pushed.

Ravin is my pen name or alias, and "the poet" is what I am, but it has been scaled back to just ravin so I got the website address you can see below.

The spelling is comes from my friends making fun of an old name. I use to be Riven, but we fought over how it was pronounced. I said it was r-eye-van and he said r-i-ven (i as in rib). I had a picture of a raven bird and he said "look at Ravin" and there you go.
