Pissed Thread

I must register a bit of a protest. I don't get pissed. I love good drink and can imbibe all evening but only get to feeling good, and sometimes horny, silly, or talking funny. So, I'm feeling rather left out (again).

dryly, Perdita :(

You need to down a bottle of Thunderbird in one hit, love. Then you'll know what being completely pissed/rat-arsed/off yer face, feels like.

Been there, did that (in my youth). Never again.

Same here, Loulou. I still remember the last hangover I had (the 80s) and I decided never again. So wine or champagne does me fine for an evening. But I don't think Joe or Gauche would call that pissed.

girlie Perdita :)

Very true!

Pissed to us girlies is somewhat different from the men folk. They down a bottle of whiskey and think nothing of it. One bottle of wine and I'm gone. Silly giggling, which sometimes degenerates into bitchy comments and snide looks.

I will maintain control of myself. :D

Loulou

P.S. Took me four attempts to type that lot. Hehehe!

Whats Everclear? The WHOLE BAND? :rose:

ROFL! I never know whether or not to take you seriously. :D I'll err on the serious side...

The band is named after the liquor. It's just plain ole grain alcohol (95% alcohol at that, compared to the average 6% beer) that burns soooo nice going down. Was my drink of choice during my binge drinking years. My old high school buddies got me a bottle for x-mas for old times sake. The other night was when I finally cracked it open.

- Mindy, explanatorily (I don't care if it's spelled wrong! I don't think it's actually a word! ;) )

Min, your AV utterly cracked me up, and then I read your location line. I love you!

Do they still even make Thunderbird? I still remember listening to Daddy-O's Jazz Patio on the radio when I was growing up: "Thunderbird: what's the price? Fifty twice!"

The Bird was the first pop-liquor: a sweetened, fortified wine whose sole purpose was to get you buzzed with the least amount of fuss. Thurnderbird was followed by Bali Hai (tropical fruit-flavored fortified wine), Ripple, and Annie Greensprings.

I had a friend who traded an old Indian motorcycle for 60 hits of acid and two cases of Ripple. What a summer that was!

Oh god. eewwww. Just the mention of Annie Greensprings wine makes me want to hurl.

Some near-fatal bouts of digestive upset during the 70s failed to cure me of the need to drink until I couldn't. There's something about an activity that repeatedly makes one miserable that draws college students like wombats to a salt lick. The biggest - because cheapest - dormitory drunk-fest was typically a bottle of Everclear Grain Alcohol (the off-campus liquor store kept it under the counter for girls with fake I.D.s) and a can of Hawaiian Punch, mixed up in a tub of ice. We knew after the second, third, fourth and dozenth time, that misery awaited at the bottom of the vat, but it seemed worth it for some strange reason.

I had never heard of fatal alcohol poisoning the day I decided to beat the dorm record for number of tequila shots. I weighed 95 pounds at the time; I drank 13 shots so fast that I wouldn't have to taste it, because I hated the taste of tequila even before it almost killed me.

I remember saying to someone, "I don't feel it yet."

And one of my roomates answered, "Jump up and down on the bed; you'll get it into your system."

I spent the next two days lying on a pile of blankets in a stall in the bathroom, begging God to let me die.

I slowed down the drinking after that. I enjoy a glass of Bailey's and milk now and again, but I don't enjoy being drunk. I equate it with feeling sick as a dog and not being able to steer when I walk.

As Kris Kristoffersen said of his own solution to alcoholism, "Thank god for laughin' tobacco.'" That was my solution, back in the day, to the need to alter reality without also vomiting.

Note: The ones who drank were the ones who fought and threw bicycles out the window; the smokers sat on a cushion in the corner, listening to Dark Side of the Moon and eating Doritos, and wondering what all the fighting was about.

It was better before I shrunk it to the 150 pixel limit. So small, the slippers and hair curlers kinda disappeared into blurs.

I can hear in my head the sound of a drunk goose honking, but I've no idea how to translate into the written word. :D

The location line is actually the same as I had for my last AV, a church in the black forest, but I left it since it still fit so well.

A joke, cos I've had a few. ;)

****CRUDE AND RUDE ALERT****

Jack and Jill went up the hill,
so Jack could lick Jill's fanny.
But Jack got a shock,
and a mouthfull of cock,
Cos Jill's a fucking tranny.

:D :D :D

Lou

P.S. One from the hubby...

A recent survey asked 100 men what the best thing about a blow job was.

99.9% said, "The ten minutes silence."

  ;)

Editiyted 'cos I got me poooem's lines wrong.

Lucky, I know: I've got my binoculars out -- I like what you've done to your hair -- that's a Brazilian fashion, isn't it?

I think you might have a smudge...

Might wanna clean the optics, or just cross the street, either way...

~lucky (begins dancing wildly in front window)

I think you should stop dancing now -- There's a party of eight year old schoolkids on a nature ramble about to pass by. I swiped one of their binoculars.

Can you see me waving? I'm up a nearby lamppost.

Does anyone remember "Boones Farm" wine?

It rates right up there with annie green springs. Blah...

We used to drink half a bottle and then fill it back up with beer,
It was called a "Train Wreck" and you felt like you had been in one after drinking it.

JMT, the last thing I remember is some hardcore Jamaican Rum followed by a worm in some bottle . . . until three days later? Well, who knows?
