Piers Morgan

I think he has Asperger's. Made it work for him.

But I listened to Marcus Samuelsson's book "Yes Chef"

"One of the juicy tidbits from Marcus Samuelsson's memoir "Yes, Chef" involved this one time Gordon Ramsay called him a "fucking black bastard" for not naming Ramsay among his favorite British chefs. Ramsay's spokesman denies the account, accusing Samuelsson of writing it simply "in order to garner publicity" for his book."

Guess who I believe? Huh? Can you guess? Can you! It's the guy not named Gordon Ramsay!

Yeah, he's totally fun to watch and I do watch, but I have no illusions about his character.

On Master Chef Joe Bastianich bugs me more because he just wants to look like having a cool stare means he's a culinary expert.

Yes, chefs do think they have to be assholes to succeed, but Eric Ripert and Jose Andres are not assholes and have excellent food and don't make me want to throw things at them.

I enjoy Hells Kitchen but at the same time it pisses me off because I knew the prize had to be bogus.

No 5 star restaurant is going to take an unpedigreed "chef" as their head chef just because they won a contest on a reality TV game show. I did some research and it doesn't look like any of them did. Most times it was in name only and was for publicity and the winner soon bolted after they discovered they were a line cook with a title only.

stephen fry and hugh laurie in blackadder:

click

I love them so much. Watched all of Blackadder a LOT. And "A Bit of Fry and Laurie" over and over.

I remember Eddie Izzard telling a story about going to festivals and competitions and never winning because who was also going to competitions and festivals?

Hugh Laurie, Stephen Fry and Emma Thompson.

*wince*

Yeah, you had no chance and you're incredibly talented.

Gordon Ramsay reminds you of Stephen Fry?

...

checking.

Stephen Fry is a comic genius, not an asshole unless it is scripted in a dry, witty way.

Other than being from approximately the same geologic location I do not see it at all.
Nothing against the actor but the British preteniouness of Hpolmes Brother who unlike Pierce Morgan is intelligent is similar.

But the limited audience he has is probaly the same people who think Larry King was relevant in his last decade on CNN

does any of that make sense?

lolz

i'm thinking it means two people sort of look a like and the pomposity of the characters played are of a kind, but that's where all similarities end.

i could be wrong, and what was posted mght mean something else. it was a little hard to understand :D

I saw Stephen Fry in both Bones and V and he was not pompous, unless being 4x smarter than anybody in any room ever makes you pompous.

Um...no.

In V for Vendetta he was a gay celebrity who wanted to stand up and say he was gay. That means he was mostly playing himself.

Are you guys on some sort of drugs that are unavailable to me? Did they come from England?

I also hated V for Vendetta kthxbye.

It these two don't look related to you I suggest you buy glasses.

Piers isn't gay? Shocking. Still quite obvious who he was portraying, just like their Rush Limbaugh Expy wouldn't have been any less obvious if they'd hired Rush to play himself.

Regardless of physical or vocal similarities, that is not what I commented upon.

I can't...the words...it's just wrong. I'm in an alternate universe where Stephen Fry is somehow drawing a parallel to Piers Morgan because somehow Piers Morgan is relevant in any way to anything. Because they're both in news, because they're both British? Stephen Fry wasn't portraying a complete dumbass. He was playing an intelligent political and intellectual strategist who finally decided to "come out" as being intelligent and gay and he was killed.

Stephen Fry's character was clever and dry and not at all a COMPLETE FUCKING MORON. Granted I slept through most of the movie and I hated it because "Torturing people and blowing stuff up = Awesome!" is not a message I respond to well.

Sorry, I am resorting to capitals because I believe parts of my brain just 'sploded.

I'm wondering if Michio Kaku played himself, would he be lampooning Bill Nye the Science Guy.

That's not fair because Bill Nye is pretty damned smart and more relevant than PIERS FUCKING MORGAN! Whose name I have forgotten three times in this post and I had to check and not be saying Piers Anthony who is STILL MORE FUCKING RELEVANT.

I believe I shall pant now. Yes. That seems best.

They both have brown hair and blue eyes is about the only similarity. Their noses and lips are all wrong. The guy on the right, whoever he is, is way heavier.

Hugh Grant is an idiot.
