Okay here is new AV and some pictures. How do you like them?

btw for everyone who responded to my 'feeling blue' post - my lovely partner drove out in the rain to buy me a new scanner to play with - hence the pictures!!

I love your new av, and was just going to find a thread to tell you so.

Exquisite.

What a wonderful partner you have.

Very nice. You seem fond of red monochromatic and Black & White.... Blue is my personal favorite colour, followed by green

But, I'm a Taurus; earth tones and all that..

Have to agree with Miss T; the subject is more artistic than the photography, and that's saying quite a bit.

*blush*

why thank you - I am going down to lincolnshire soon (i hope) to do a trial photo session - mainly for my own (and selected friends) pleasure. I have no desire really to be a 'model' I have just found out that I like having my picture taken, and after 4 years of secondary school being told I was 'an ugly skinny cow' its good to be appreciated

The redtoned shots were taken with a polaroid camera without the flash - they just came out that way!!
the others were taken at a fetish event I attended but in the originals I have 'red-eye' I will post one though so you can appreciate my red hair!!!

glad you like them SpectreT

<blinking in disbelief>

Ugly skinny cow?! how in gods name could anyone..... wait. I'm an American. We've got our own aesthetic regarding female beauty. And you're definitely an excellent example of it.

of course you are silly - thats why I'm sharing and also why I'm sharing over here and not on the amatuer pics forum, it nets you some pretty odd replies over there.
But then maybe I'd better do that and stick a link in my sig line - its just occured to me that this may the same as posting a personal - oh dear hope I havn't stepped out of line - I'll wait for one of the moderators to approve this thread now

Your pictures may have given some of us some very personal thoughts about you, I don't think that makes your posts personals;)

Seriously, if as everyone seems to agree, we hope to build a community here, then I think that getting to know each other better, via words or images, is a positive contribution to the forum.

thanks Caroline - hope you all like them. Given that i can't get over to the states this is my way of sharing a little more about myself with you all.

I agree on that myself!

S'Real's reality

petrel...I agree with the others...you are stunning. Loved the pics...and loved the outfit :rose:

Once again, i must agree with the majority here.. petrel, you are beautiful, and good luck with the photo shoot when it happens.... and those that called you an 'ugly skinny cow" in the past, were just "big, fat, jackasses" IMO.... take care, and hope your "blue days" are behind you!! hugs.. sierra:rose:

petrel, you're as impishly pixielike as i'd imagined. Your words have always offered good-humored intelligence to our mixture, and there's nothing in your face to belie the already most-positive impression is held of you.

I dislike our cultural tendancy toward upholding physical beauty as an indicator of individual worth. I already held you in high esteem, petrel, without the pics. That they highlight and exlemplify the impression you've already offered to us all is a testament to your overall honesty all from the beginning.

Okay. All the PC is out of the way.
Gorgeous, darlin'. Just gorgeous.
:rose:

PC? Didn't IBM make those for a while?

.....Yes, cym. Agreed. But isn't it nice when personality and wit and perspicacity are wrapped up in a visually pleasing human being?

(please laugh)

I chuckled, T, i chuckled. That has to be enough, too, cuz the gods know i'm not really in a chuckling mood at present.

BTW, your face is just as i've been imagining it for all these months. Your personality and your face match each other, both are open and honest and forthright.

And T? Never ever ever did i mean to imply at all, public or private, that you've ever hidden behind a mask. Quite the contrary, in fact. You're one of the most open among us, and i think we're an exceedingly open crowd.

I like you very much.
Always have.
:rose:

So what was that remark you made to me about "hiding squarely behind your (meaning mine) ficticious words"?

Pure, unemotional curiosity drives the question at this point.

And I thought I looked like a pudgy geek with delusions of being a warrior.

<edited to add remark about my own appearance>

When you and i first started pm'ing, T, a year ago, you didn't do much posting to the GB that i recall. You were far more hidden, far lesslikely to talk openly at all about yourself or your sexuality or your questions. You had that story we discussed, and you couched yourself, and your sexuality, and your personality, into those terms.

I came to know you as a result of our dissecting and talking about and working over your story. It wasn't about you and me as people. It was about your story.

Slowly, our talk moved from the story to us, as people beyond our respective writing, beyond our board posts.

That's all i was referring to, T.
I am sorry if it gave even a moment's consternation.
