What's your opinion?

Me? I really liked it at a holiday party recently and was thus lured into buying a two-pack at Costco.

Now, I'm not so sure I like it, but I have two really big jars of it. A lifetime supply, really.

Do you think I can plan a party around the pickled asparagus?

I think Ruby should just have her "Costco Pick of the Week" thread!

;)

I don't think you could get me to eat it if you offered me a bj to take it off your hands...

...who am I kidding?

This is exactly why I shouldn't be allowed into Costco. I make bad decisions.

Impulse buying is my weakness, however, I did think about those pickled asparagus more than once before I put them in my cart.

Johnny, who are you kidding? *wink*

Pickled asparagus is the ideal garnish for a Korbel spritzer. Serve with peanut butter-filled pretzels on the side, and you've got the makings of an ideal get-together with people you detest.

Have you tried pickled garlic? That's pretty good.

I'm not sure about planning a party menu around the asparagus though. Maybe Nora has a recipe for a souffle or something with that as a main ingredient.

Uhh...

SO glad I haven't sent that box yet!!

Although I will say that my pickled asparagus and pickled green beans ROCK.

fuck that! Eat 'em straight! lol Maybe I'll open Ruby's jar for you on Sunday! :D

Here's the thing, Nora, I loved the pickled asparagus at the party across the street. It was all I wanted, even next to shrimp cocktail, exotic cheeses and pâté that would make your mother cry.

The Costco pickled asparagus was such a disappointment.

ooo.

try some of that stuff on a sammich!

it's also fabulous with salmon.

*edited to say costco: i hate it when that happens.

If you didn't like the Costco pickled asparagus, take pains to avoid the Walgreens "asparagus and condoms" two for one special this week.

Great idea - I never thought of pairing the two together.

Can I serve that to you for lunch when you come out and help me putt, Mr. Murabi?

At the risk of sounding totally predictable, I was thinking about eating something else after our lesson.
