I keep getting 'Could not complete (command X) because the scratch disks are full.'

Could somebody please tell just what the FUCK this means, as well as how to fix it?

Adobe products use a temporary work file on a disk to get around memory limitations. You can set/change where the "scratch disk" in the preferences section of Photoshop.

If the scratch disk is set to a folder your only harddrive and you're still getting the message, then you are short of disk space and need to make room by cleaning up your disk -- delete your temporary internet files, any "FILExxxx.CHK" scandisk has left behind, any files ending in ".TMP" any files in your Temporary Files folder, any duplicate data files (multiple copies of the same picture for example,) Unused programs.

It's probably that just deleting your temporary internet files will free up sufficient disk space -- as long as you do it just before editing the picture and don't go back on line first.
