Hi, I'm Andre,

Long time fan of Literotica, now looking to create my own content, and asking for advice for getting into adult entertainment, especially erotic audio.

In the "real world," I'm a singer/songwriter and have been told many times how pleasant my voice is to listen to. So, I thought, why not?

I do have a little experience in the industry as a stripper, amateur on-camera talent, and have even recorded a couple of audio auditions that unfortunately never led anywhere.

I recently (like, 12 hours ago) got a more legitimate rig for recording on, but wanted to get some insight from more experienced folks on this site. Where do y'all get background noise when necessary? What sort of editing software? Do you recommend a desktop setup? How do you decide what to record? Are your stories yours or someone else's? And so on.

Really, I think I'm just a bit nervous about being new to this facet of entertainment and am looking for encouragement or something lol.

Thank you for reading and thanks in advance for the insight(s).

Charmed,

- AC

Just a note: It took me less than 15 seconds to work out that the pig man in Rebel Moon was the same actor who played Ember in The Magicians and he wasn't even doing the same accent.

I am a certified genetic mutant but there are tens or maybe hundreds of thousands of us and one of us is likely to figure out you're crossing over if you do audio. It's supposedly much easier to have a nom de plume than to double dip in other disciplines.

If that doesn't concern you, I have two thoughts: 1) it feels like artists on newgrounds are making due with a very limited stable of VA folks and they might be amenable to adding additional entries to their call list for new projects to reduce recycling. 2) how are you at narrating? There are not enough recordings of erotica out there. Here or anywhere else.

I'm a little confused about what you mean, but I think you're saying that there's a risk that I could be recognized or exposed as an adult content creator. If that is the case, then no, I'm not particularly concerned about that. In fact, I find the idea quite thrilling. Especially if I was any good.

Like I said, a gig's a gig and sex work is legitimate work, as far as I'm concerned. I can absolutely see your point. There's a certain stigma that some people have for pornography, but there are just as many who appreciate it.

Second, I think I'm quite good at narrating. I've done it many times live onstage for years.

Thanks for the concern, though.

Yeah it was my roundabout way to say, getting found out only takes one person and there are a lot of weird people who will notice patterns that others miss.

Good for you. I just hate seeing people get hurt for overestimating other people. But it sounds like you've already weighed that scenario.
