I hardly ever think about, let alone re-read my own stories, but by a coincidence I've just last week re-read many of them.

Some of them I found very entertaining, in fact I'd say they were among my favorite stories on Literotica (and why not? as a writer I know my tastes as a reader better than anyone else).

Four or five were embarrasing failures in one way or another. I can plead extreme intoxication for at least one of those.

Most of the stories could do with some surgery.

My favorite story is my most recent submission, "Woman's Vanitie". It's high on the verbal pyrotechnics and crude humour, low on sex, plot and character, and very manic.

Strangely enough I like all of my stories, even the terrible ones.

The one Im proudest of? Damn that's hard to answer. Jade was the hardest to write, it took the longest and was a challenge, but I think Watching was my best. (My few critics seem to think so too. )

I might start a "too good for porn?" thread for a related subject, which would by your personal best/favorite passage. Mine is usually the most recent one, which right now is this from my upcoming lesbian incest "epic":

Joyce poured a glass of wine for each of the others, and then lifted her own in a silent toast. She looked Susan right in the eyes as she did so, and held the gaze until the young woman lifted her own glass.

Then, Joyce dipped her head for just an instant, and her eyes. She raised both again quickly, and returned that steady gaze to Susan, while inclining her glass just a millimeter in the other's direction. The gesture was an acknowledgment of all that Susan had done for her, a "thank you," and a "salute" of respect all wrapped in one. It was heartbreaking in its eloquence.

Susan felt a tear well in her eye, and briefly tilted her own head in acceptance.

They all sipped the refreshing beverage. Kara sensed that some important communication had passed between her mother and her lover. She did not quite understand its content, but knew it was good. The three women stood in companionable silence for a time, sipping the excellent wine.
