Hello, Neighbors!

Hi, there all you PA Folks!
Nice to know there is a growing crowd of open minded people in the Keystone State. Now the question is... are you all young, college-types? Anyone remember Mallow Cups? Gene London? Captain Noah? (Boy, that'll date you!)
Looking to converse online with a semi-local who has the same memories - or at a man with more than three decades of 'em!

Yes...that was a trip down memory lane :D
But you lost me at Captain Noah....a Philly thing perhaps?

B:devil:

Red and yellow and pink and blue...

Oh, Captain Noah-
Definitely a 3rd rate Philly thing. A local Saturday morning TV host with puppets and questionable guest appearances (school choirs & area personalities).
Kind of Channel 6's answer to Mr Rogers & Captain Kangaroo, but with less intelligence and charm.
Brrr it's cold here this morn!

Memories

I am rather sure that Noah ark was a national show. All the colors of the rambow and all that. But I draw a blank on gene London?
Dont they still sell Mallow Cups?

I know all three of those things lily

Williamsport

I'll be visiting Williamsport the week of 11/15. Looking for someone to have some fun with and cheer up a lonely hotel room . . .

Well, we are awake!

I am glad things are waking up here for the Phillly people.
There are a small group of us, 50+ who do the hot tub thing/pool thing in the summer/the Sunny Buns thing in the summer who would like to meet others...
The hot tub/pool is near Harleysville, PA.
Talk to us.

Purple and Orange and Green...I can sing a rainbow..

Hey VoyerGirl,
Wouldn't dream of messin' with your claim to fame. Hell, I've been known to tell complete strangers that I sang on the Old Captain's show... Oops! There I go again!
Shame I joined up after your attempt at a 9/11 get-together, VoyerGirl. I even know where Michael's is. Will you be trying to round up the suspects for a Holiday 'happening'?

To NJGuy,
I guess I deserve a paddle for making ageism assumptions. Sorry.

To Kyle,
If you drop that towel I'll scream! (And I'm close enough that you just might hear it!)

To all-
Gene London was very local, and my first crush... how I wanted to be one of the Brownies that sat at his feet and watched him draw and tell stories. Later in life, I actually met one of those girls & she said it was as awesome as it seemed!
Yes, MalloCups still available - clip & save those 500 points! (average point value 10, need 500 for a $1.00 rebate, average price of candy = $.60 = Average cost of $1.00 rebate =$30! Talk about a gimmick!)
Still rather chilly here - thank heaven for the sun!

Uh, I'm a college type... but not exactly young (unless you're going by sex drive). I do remember Mallow Cups, and the frustration of trying to save up enough points to turn in for cash (and retrieving them from the trash after Mom or Sis decided to "clean" my room).

Gene London? Total blank on that one.

Seem to remember that Captain Noah was a TV cartoon character... Am I right?

BTW, just where in PA are you located? PLEASE tell me that you're near Philly!

Whoops... Got ahead of myself again. First I reply without reading to the end of the thread. Then I send a picture with no text. Well, lilyfeet, that's to be expected when I woman like you comes along and gets me so excited.

Sorry if I caused you agita, NippleFreak....

Well, this board seems to have been chatty, recently. I'm glad I found it.

VoyerGirl, I'm within 15 minutes of Michael's, though I've never been there, myself. Near enough to Philly to hang my head out of the car window on Roosevelt Blvd and smell the cookies baking at Nabisco.

Nipplefreak... does every part of you have a name or is Wilbur, um, 'special'?

Remembering Capt Noah

I do remember Gene London also and on Sunday mornings there was a kids show out of New York called Wonderama that I used to watch. I'm not afraid to date myself. I find that women our age are usually lots of fun in the bedroom. Any females in the Lehigh Valley or surronding areas looking for some fun;) should pm or email me.
