Well, I would suggest that Sean not abandon us as the DM and give us a clearly defined transitional post so that we have some idea where we all stand as we come back together for the next day's gathering.

I give leave to control my character so that this can be done, as long as it's done with respect.

I would greatly apperciate the chance to form connections with the rest of the pc's.

Yeah. We just need a nudge in the proper direction. It shouldn't be hard from there to push on and get some character dialogue/connections going.

I apologize for the extended hiatus here, I'm reluctant to call this thing dead because I like the party and the campaign it's just the holidays are proving to be an actual obstacle this year. I'm generally a a passive participant, you know I eat, and I open things, and I play nice with people I don't like. I'm not normally helping as much with the cooking or making sure people get where they need to go and work has been complex this year too. That said I'll probably if not declare it dead on Monday or Tuesday at least put it on permanent hiatus.

Or, you could give us a post, moving us along and setting the stage for the next morning. Throw us a bone and we'll come out of the wood work to start gnawing on it.

Take your time, think it through.

The only reason to pronounce this thread dead is if you are unwilling or unable to help keep us together.

Here's an idea, why doesn't one of the Gayles come find Vayah in the night and confront her for having not stuck around to let them get back with her after they got reamed out by the other noble?

That is an idea Raven. I was just thinking we should just go ahead and do something to continue getting the characters familiar with each other while we wait on Sean to get back in the swing of things. That would keep the thread from dying, though it would be more of just putting a bandage on the problem.

Well, for the sake of letting the thread live, put something up. I have no problems with it, nor do I think would anyone else. It will probably take some pressure off of Sean till he gets back in the game.

I'm still here. It's easy enough to pick up from the next morning and start from there. The Kingmaker module is very free form anywhere. From what I remember we all are suppose to end up at some trading post, which is the only bit of civilization out there for awhile. Then it's just get on your donkey and ride.

So is running now? With Sean out for the foreseeable future we'll need someone else to throw the plot hooks at us, shouldn't be too hard, since we're playing in a preexisting module. I'm pretty sure that I have the pdfs for kingmaker somewhere, but Im not too keen on running it myself at the moment.

Well, I believe we are trying to keep it alive at the moment. As far as who's gonna run things, I'm not sure on my end. I'm sure something shall get worked out.

So I've been interstate doing some stuff, hence my not posting, however the thread seems to have not progressed in my absence, that is troubling. If anyone is still here and interested I can take over DMing, at least for a little while.

If this can't get going again, I am completely open to playing Vayah in a different scenario.

I really, really enjoy her, she's very fun to play.

I'm not keen on running this scenario myself, but hey, if this one IS a wash, I have most of my old... Ravenloft... Material. Muahahaha! I would be VERY keen on running that for you guys.

Well then, bring out your characters suited for Ravenloft guys, cause I'm game. Make your characters come from the same small xenophobic village please. Your characters need to have been raised in or around this place for ease of establishing character connections if at all possible. Or at the very least, been hanging around the village for a few weeks, so that you can justify character connections without having to force things.

I'm all about giving you guys the wiggle room to help me to help you on this creating a foundation for this story.

Knowing what kind of scares you're eager to play with will help me out as well.

PM me any character ideas you'd like to keep secret please.

wEll, I'm up for staying in, though I'm not really familiar with Ravenloft myself. I've heard of it tho.

Same levels and restrictions, level 1 etc? or are we gonna do this a little higher level say like 5th?

I'll allow up to 3rd level characters, and I encourage you to work together with each other while you're making your characters for this to interlace your characters back stories, so we don't have a struggle making connections during the actual thread.

Ravenloft is about horror, so if you can each pm me with a few of your character's hopes and fears, you'll go a long way toward helping me give you a good story.

I'm afraid I don't know anything about Ravenloft beyond the name. Anywhere I can read up on the setting and get an idea for what might work?
