The truth is I couldn't give less of a fuck about sports of any kind. The only reason I ever saw any Gtown basketball at all was because I partied with so many kids on the team.

I don't get the connection between Georgetown basketball and your resume. Everyone has heard of Georgetown. Now if you went to Winthrop, and the Eagles won the national championship, and the person reading your resume was a basketball fan, it might help with the notoriety.

When you can walk onto one of any of a hundred or more neighborhood basketball courts in NYC, Chicago, LA, Miami and other cities and grab a handful of guys who can whip any of the NCAA teams and hardly break a sweat, how can anyone still find the quality of college basketball worth watching or caring about?

When the best players are going straight to the NBA and making mega-millions from high school, or their freshman or sophomore years of college, how can anyone still find the quality of college basketball worth watching or caring about?

When the best players still in the college "game" are caught shaving points and accepting large sums of money and/or fancy cars, X-boxes, quarter-million dollar condos for $200 a month, how can anyone still find the quality of college basketball worth watching or caring about?

Sorry, Marquis... college b-ball has lost its luster, even moreso than college football. It's a business for the colleges, and they should treat it that way, and stop pretending that major college sports are still "amateur" sports.

Just my $.02 worth - YMMV.

Edited to note that I quit having any interest in pro b-ball even before I lost it for college ball.
