Name examples from fiction, film, or fantasy that best illustrate passion.

Answer: Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Butler ❤️

Finn and Estella in Great Expectations (the film from 1998). Well, mostly Finn, I guess.

William Wallace from Braveheart.

He fought the entire British Empire for a girl. And when he was (SPOILER ALERT!) being torn apart at the end, all he could think of was her.

Mega-Passion

David and Maddie in Moonlighting. You could cut that sexual tension with a knife until they gave into it. Long time ago, but I still remember that sex scene.

King Kong (1933). He took on a T-rex, giant salamander, pterodactyl, natives, NYPD, subway trains, airplanes--he was unstoppable!

But when he looked down and saw her, he could fight no more and fell to his death.

But it wasn't the airplanes, or the T-rex or anything else.

'Twas Beauty killed the Beast.

I would say Stanley Kowalski and Blanche DuBois. Along with that New Orleans heat, the passion (and the hate) is unbearable - until the assault (I won't ruin it for anyone who hasn't seen it.)

Sally from The Nightmare before Christmas. I totally believed that she was head over heels in love with Jack.

And of course, there's the always painful to watch, Remains of the Day. Which is about severe passion lost, or at least not acted upon. That one drives me crazy, probably because there's a little truth in that movie for me personally. But the passion is real--just watch the "What's in the book" scene!

I agree, but I love the passion in it. :) Harry and Sally

Okay, this may not be in the intended spirit of the thread but . . .

In Poltergeist, Jobeth Williams gets thrown around the room by a ghost, she gets attacked by a giant "dragon like" ghost by her children's bedroom door, she falls down the stairs, gets electrocuted by the front door, runs outside for help, falls in a pool, gets attacked by skeletons in the pool, gets pulled out by neighbors, hears her children screaming for their mother, and in a moment of complete horror, frightened out of her mind, terrified beyond words, she runs back into the house charging like a bull and SCREAMS--

"Get away from my babies!" at the top of her lungs.

I think that is the most passionate moment from a movie I've ever seen. I get choked up every time I see her performance.

She is so real, so passionate about saving her children, so scared and yet determined.

It is a scene of true female strength. Watch that scene, it's incredible!
