But you just said you didn't like it because it hurt you. I'm confused. Either it hurts you, and you don't like that, and so you need a different one, or you like it and there's no problem.

How about trying depth-limiting positions?

Hopefully you got a harness that allows for changing out the dildo. If so, you can get a shorter rubber dildo for as little as $10 on some sites (then you can just use condoms with it for easy cleanup and such). If not, you'll know to shop with the future in mind next time.
