Open Debate

Chik-fil-a has the best shakes.
I hear that a lot but I've never been to one. I about died when I lived in Anchorage. The nearest Peanut Buster Parfait was a drive and a boat ride.

Chick-filet's nuggets are better than McD's and I got that from my six year old grand daughter who knows. And besides, I don't mind driving all over town for a meal because that's the way I roll.

Best chocolate shakes, too. With whipped cream and a cherry on top.

...five miles down the road from me. I make the trip often. :D

Bitch, now I want a shake.

Well Fuck. *starts hiking the two hour drive to Lubbock.*

yeah, but if you're intelligent over there, they look at you like you're crazy, and if you're a bitch, they just cry. Where's the fun in that?
It's not. It's like tipping cows. :(

KFC nuggets are far superior to Macca's nuggets here - my boys say so. But my cat prefers Macca's fries to KFC...

Dar~ said:
McDonald's chicken nuggets far surpass any others, but Wendy's fries and Burger Kings burgers are fantastic beyond any others. So, in order to get the perfect mass market fast food meal, one would have to drive all over town.
Dar, you ignorant slut . . . oh, wait a minute - what are those rules again?

(Actually I think you're smart and a cutie pie, Dar. :) )

Yeah the slut part wasn't to far off though . . . ;)

Welcome Gaia and Sienna. The Playground folk were nice to me when I stumbled in there one time.

And for you fast food lovers, two words - Supersize Me (not that, it's a movie).

Bah, Checkers has the best Fries and Burgers hands down. As for Chicken, you have to try Popeyes.

Thank you jomar :rose:
After the first flurry of excitement we hope it settles down and respect is shown. It is true that we have no moderators in here, a chance to prove that we really don't need them. The only rule is simply "Respect."

I repeat my proposition and hope there are intelligent minds in LIT that are capable of replying.

The window to our world is primarily through our eyes and the way we interpret what we see is through our minds.
What we see influences us, including the written word, but we also have ears and we are influenced by the sound of the spoken word.

Are we truly individuals or just slaves to the emotions of what we see and hear?

Allow me to extend this further...

Words are very powerful, they have the ability to create history and society, religious beliefs and war, love and hate.

I propose that we are no less slaves to our emotions, that Words are our true Divinity.

I think she just insinuated that I am unintelligent? But I don't really know for sure.

So what is there to debate here? Epistemology?
Provoke our minds, as deep as you wish.
Respectful of those that propose and those who reply is the only rule.

I don't play by any rules. Never have, never will, so I'll bow out. Besides, there's no debate here to begin with.

That's why I haven't bothered to chime in as of yet.

I know people who love to argue. Some use it as foreplay, some because they need to feel superior, but in both cases it's very annoying.

Gaia, if you wish to debate, fine.

On which topic?

You see, generally people open up a topic, and those who are interested debate the issues, pro and con. Some offer links to research, some give anecdotal information, some personal experiences.

But the topic shouldn't be about having the debate in the first place.

See Monty Python's "Argument Clinic" for additional information.

Reminds me of the old, old joke about why proctologist always liked to use DOS. Because everytime the booted-up, their computer screen would display C:enter, or in proctol talk, see colon, enter.
