Ooops, oops, oops, oops, oops

I am soooo tired of these incessant oops messages. All this buginess is rather reminiscent of the old Lit. Is there any hope that this will be fixed soon?

I'm getting it, too, nearly every time I try to post a message. There seems to be no consistency as to why it's happening. I thought maybe it was the plentiful length of my messages, but if I copy & paste, delete my message, and repost with the same message, it works.

Is there no one working on this. MasterDaddySir above posted this issue in November of 2021, and I don't see any reply from a Moderator.

@Manu, are you working on this?

I too have gotten these error messages, the new ones now are that I must wait 106 seconds to reply to a private message?

Any word on when these errors will be resolved?

@Manu is the moderator of the forums of which I partake and, possibly, the entire site, I'm not sure. But he's hardly ever online and, from what I've seen, he doesn't respond to either posts like this or PMs, of which I have sent him some in the past without reply.

He is one of the site owners. While he doesn’t post much on the forums, he is certainly present. I don’t believe he responds to many PMs, although I am sure he reads them. If you need help in a specific forum, the forum moderators are listed at the top of each forum. Those would be the best folks to reach out to.

Is there any responsible moderator dealing with this issue? Is there any responsible moderator at least interested in telling us it's an issue that can't be dealt with?

I mean, are they only interested in the facets of Literotica that directly make them money? If so, maybe we should be looking for other sites, sites where the moderators/owners care about their members?

I mean, I enjoy Literotica, and I have used those features that led to me spending money. But I can spend my money elsewhere AND be able to post on the bulletin boards without having to take several other steps of saving and refreshing and reposting without sometimes losing most of what I wrote. This is bullshit.

The Literotica Forum, Stories, and Chat are free.

above posted this issue in November of 2021,
July 22.

The issue has really only existed since the software change in February of '22 and it's intermittent. As noted in multiple other threads and posts, it seems to be a timing error. Not the length of the post, but the length of time it takes to type the post, which is why a refresh and paste almost always works.

.In the overall grand scheme of things, it's a rather minimal issue.

There really is no 'issue' to deal with.

What money are you spending here? I've never seen a price on anything forum or story related.

I wasn't referring to the forums, obviously; I was referring to the sites linked to out on the Literotica home page.

And YES, there is an issue! If you write in the forums, this is a serious problem. Example given: you spend 40 minutes writing a reply to a forum post; you select post; you get "OOPS"; you refresh; and you lose that upon which you spent 40 minutes. Writers shouldn't have to highlight, copy, refresh, highlight, delete, and paste ... yeah, that's what you have to do to ensure beyond a doubt that you don't lose some or all of that on which you spent all that time.

It's obvious that I'm not going to get any response from someone who can fix the problem or explain why it can't be fixed, so ... I'm unsubscribing to this thread; I'll come back and check it from time to time, assuming I remain on Literotica.

I thank those of you who sympathize with the situation. The rest of you -- you KNOW who you are -- can just keep on keeping on with the flaws in what USED to be a WONDERFUL web site.

There really is no 'issue' to deal with.
Simply denying an issue exists doesnt simply make it go away. If users are experiencing it - it's an issue - perhaps your icon should be an ostrich rather than an eagle?

First, because timing is everything I got the oops just clicking your post to reply.
I think she got Nov 2021 from the posters join date.

And it is an issue, and this is where issues are supposed to be reported and we're 9 months into the update and its a constant problem along with the author's activity page often spinning forever then 'failed to catch' or some error message.

They updated the site to compete with more modern sites, and the crowd they're trying to get aren't the ones who are going to deal with 24/7 issues, they have no history or loyalty here and unlike some of us who are older have zero patience because they're used to everything happening instantly.

The sites apathy is by far its worse feature, and defending it makes no sense, just makes you look a bit foolish.

Well, to be fair, the original question was whether there is a moderator willing to deal with this issue. Though, this really doesn't look like something a moderator even could deal with. This is a technical issue that would require the attention of an admin. Or one of the people who are responsible for the redesign.

Word of advice to anyone getting these Oops-Messages:

xenForo (usually) writes an error-message into your browser's console. Press Ctrl+Shift+i (Cmd+shift+i on Mac) and open the "Console"-Tab, to see if there's a line starting with "Error". If there is, this would help the "devs" here figure out the cause.
It will most likely be an "Unauthorized..."-Message regarding one of the script-libraries they use for their Ajax-Requests.

*EDIT*
Just happened to me. Here's the error:

Code:
PHP: Unauthorized core-compiled.js:43:78
