In my county, I believe this without looking around 3-4000 population give our take......my nearest neighbor is two miles give or take..... as far as distance from a city over a population of 12 thousand... 150ish miles?

I have four people who live within 10 miles, at least three miles via the crow to my nearest. Nearest town (500) is about 35 miles, next largest city about the 60 miles 120,000.

Best I can put back is an SKS, or Winchester model 100. Though the "fleet" of .303 Enfeilds can make a dent. Not to mention for longer range there is the BSA .300 mag, and my .270 mag. A couple 12 gauges etc down to a .410 might help if I have blood in my eyes and can't see. A couple semi .22 and a repeter and a few single shots for the kids.

I'm not sure what you got, but be careful you don't self discharge one in your foot.
