Only 4% Of Americans Think Gun Control Important

The CNS headline is misleading (not surprisingly).

People were asked what they thought was the MOST important problem in America was today.

Very few people consider taking away Vetty's precious metal substitute penis collection was the most pressing issue of the day.

CNS and the Vettebigot extrapolate that to infer that gun control is NOT important.

CNS was always a terrible source but since Obama's reelection they've sunk to new lows.

but wait...this is the only thing MSNBC is talking about so socialist American's must care about this!

Taking away guns, is key to the agenda by the regime

QUOTE=vetteman;44159230]It's only important to government, and liberals:

Gallup: Only 4% of Americans Think Gun Control is an Important Problem
April 16, 2013

(CNSNews.com) – Only 4 percent of Americans think guns and gun control are an important problem facing the country, according to Gallup, and far more Americans are concerned about the economy, unemployment and the federal debt.

In its poll from Apr. 4-7, Gallup surveyed 1,005 adults by telephone and asked, “What do you think is the most important problem facing the country today?”

Respondents answered in the following order:

Economy in general 24%

Unemployment/Jobs 18%

Dissatisfaction with Government 16%

Federal budget deficit/Federal debt 11%

Healthcare 6%

Ethical/Moral/Family decline 5%

Immigration/Illegal aliens 4%

Education 4%

Guns/Gun control 4%

Situation with North Korea 4%

Lack of Money 3%

Welfare 2%

Lack of respect for each other 2%

Poverty/Hunger/Homelessness 2%

Foreign aid/Focus overseas 2%

Taxes 2%

Despite the Obama administration’s strong push for more gun control legislation, few Americans are concerned about the issue.

As Gallup reports, “Few Americans mention guns or immigration as the most important problems facing the nation today, despite the current attention lawmakers in Washington are giving to these issues. The economy still dominates as the top concern, followed by jobs and dissatisfaction with the general way in which Congress and the government work.”

These data “underscore the prominence of economic issues in Americans’ minds,” said Gallup.

A few years ago I post about how America was headed into Socialism. My theory was that there would be nationwide dessension due to our rights being taken away. The government would declare a police state and then we would quietly step over into Socialism. I was ridiculed and called everything from a commie to a radical.

Funny thing is, I'm fairly well educated. I vote every election and served my country for 12 years. I was decorated for Granada, Panama, and Desert Storm. I come from a very long and rich heritage of military service and can name off relative after relative who also served their country honorably. Both my sons served as well with my oldest recieving a medical discharge after serving in Afghanistan and being wounded.

This country is headed to Socialism and it's going to happen a lot sooner than a lot of people realise. If you think its not, try to buy ammunition. As soon as the 2nd Admendment is taken away, the 4th will be next. They have to get rid of it as a matter of National Security to remove any weapons that people might be hiding. It will be a snowball effect after that.

Is there a reason why this threat is titled 4% of American think gun control is important and not 2% of Americans think taxes, welfare and foreign aid are important? I could have sworn that I've heard someone, maybe several someones, constantly spouting about how taxes+welfare= slavery and facism. Either people are so woefully stupid that we shouldn't care what they think or we should look at what the majority think is important and focus there no?

Likewise, most Americans aren't pussies who are afraid of their own shadow and feel they need a gun for protection.

So Vette has taken to lying in his thread titles now. Busybodyism is creeping in all over the place.

Live in my neighborhood for a while. I have a rifle sitting just inside the closet. It's not that I don't think I can handle myself in a bad situation, it's more for my girlfriend. There have been a good handful of shootings in the area and the gang activity is pretty bad. We've already had someone try to break into the apartment while we were home.

You're more than welcome to believe that America is heading to socialism. Sadly for you, your military experience as well as that of your son does not exempt you from the consequences of stating your beliefs. Most Americans will, and rightfully should, point and laugh at your inane commentary, particularly since your beliefs are not supported in any way by facts.

Great post! I think the two wild cards are North Korea and China

its clear that the obama regime wants a "one" world government

And you are a simple person who is being herded by public opinion. That is truly sad. Stand up for yourself, live somewhere else other than the state you were born in, gain an education. You'd be surprised at how free you'd feel once you shed your ignorance.

So Vette has taken to lying in his thread titles now. Busybodyism is creeping in all over the place.

He seeks out misleading headlines....that way, he has "plausible deniability" and need not take personal responsibility when people criticize it. Many Vietnam-era Marines on Literotica (Miles, AJ, etc) also use this technique. It's a "Marine Corps Honor" thingee that civilians don't understand.

Something you should know about me
Posted on March 9, 2013 by jeninflorida

I have no idea how talking about politics has become so nasty.

Why or how did talking about politics become so dangerous? God forbid you say something as simple as “I’m not a fan of Obama” and people will call you either a racist or try to physically assault you.

I don’t see what the big deal if someone is Red or Blue as long as they are pro American and Pro Capitalism. Just to kept this short, by no means do I support a system where we do not help those who are struggling; however, welfare and other entitlements should never be a career option. Safety nets are great and I support them, but we’ve gone so far left in this that even I have family members who use entitlements as “career” options as they can make almost the same amount of money by taking cash jobs and entitlements. If you are unable work, fine. Society should support you. If you chose not to work (you are on your own).

On the flip side, I’m not one to give something out for free. The proverb, “better to teach someone to fish, then give them McFish Sandwiches…..” yeah, I realize that this is more expensive but wouldn’t you rather help a family move up in life then stay in what I call “slavery”?

Just to be clear, I’m very anti government and outside of military feel that we have way to many people in government…and way too many people that are just putting his or her time in so that they can collect a pension. This is wrong, and pisses me off when I pay my property taxes…income taxes.

My last blurt, is there still a middle class? While pro obama people are shouting about how well the stock market is doing, but who is benefiting from this? Are you? I’m not?!?

Sadly, I think Obama has destroyed the middle class and now we have the wealthy getting wealthier, and everyone else struggling to make ends meet.

Post or email me if you agree or not agree. If we talk on the phone, I never raise my voice over such silly things like all my silly words above. My point, talk not bitch. Tell me how you feel, not demand I need to be like you and support your views. Different people with different ideas, different histories, different views make for a better America.

That's what I said; you have a gun because you're afraid.

I think not.

Try me.

I attended a year at University of Maryland, two years at University of Texas at Brownsville, and four years at East Carolina University. I have a double bachelors including Science Education and Geology. I minored in Anthropology, English, and Music Theory.

What is your education level? Hmmm?

Gun control is only a problem if I am not the one controlling the gun in the given situation.

There will be sniveling . . . .

Please, don't blame me for your failures. If you'd studied a little harder in school, worked a bit harder at your job, chances are you wouldn't have to live in a shithole apartment where your "girl" friend is continually at risk.

Look at the bright side, though...."she" is probably saving quite a bit on fuel costs by locating in a neighborhood close to "her' johns. Ain't capitalism great?

I've got no problem standing up for myself, hero boy.

I got 99 problems but you, bitch, ain't one.

Which of those schools taught you that dessension was a word and that Granada was a country?

Funny enough, I have the same degrees.

(Well, except for your East Carolina University degree. I would've had that one too, but I ran out of quarters to put into the machine.)
