Only long ones make it to the top 10

Seems like only the long stories make it to the top ten. I appreciate a well written long one but my current all time favorite is only two pages long and hot as fuck. I think it is unfair you have to write at least 9 pages to get any chance of getting to the top 10.

Stories that include an engaging plot, charcter developement, setting description, pacing, build up, a satisfing climax and a little aftercare to wash it all down. And most readers are looking for that. They are looking to be pulled into the story by their brain and their heart as well as their genitals. And it takes time to build all that into a story. It doesn't have to be nine pages, you can do it in much less if you write well. But stories are as long as they need to be for the writer to tell their tale.

Scroll to the bottom before reading. Only takes a few seconds to do. An author will not know how many Literotica pages it will be till after approved. The page count doesn’t match the page count you have let’s say MS Word.

Having read the story, I can agree that it is excellent. As are, apparently all of her stories. I'll be following her, so thanks for that.

But to answer your question. No, it really doesn't. The story is what we call a stroker. It's a brief period of time, of two people getting together, sexually. And there's noting wrong with that. I've written some like that myself.

There isn't a plot beyond getting dad past his priapism, there's just enough character development that you understand she's not underage or inexperienced, and the setting is - the living room. Not terribly elaborate. But for a stroker, it doesn't need to be.

We've argued about this before in the AH. The big story vs. the stroker argument, with the strokers usually not getting the respect or attention that deeper stories get. But this is all in the hands of the voting readers. It's about what they want. And in this instance, the story has a 4.73 rating, and deservedly so. Which is a great rating, that any of us would be happy with. I did note a few grammatical errors, that I ordinarily don't pay attention to, but many readers feel they deserve the same level of grammatical perfection they find in their best sellers. I know from experience that many will reduce their vote, just for a few errors. It's not fair, but there it is.

After looking at your stories, it's clear I/T is your interest, and this story clearly left an impression. Is it worse than the other stories in the top ten? I don't know, I'm not going to read them. Maybe you should.

In closing, I hope @bridgetrose sees this thread and sees how passionately you admire her work. I'm sure it would make her day.
