Doesn't it take forever from the end of the Superbowl until the beginning of the pre-season???

CFL is in full swing. I'd rather watch the Eskies or the Stamps as opposed to the Giants or the Packers.

Forget the NFL & the NBA, it be 'blackball'... tune in to NASCAR, learn to appreciate a real 'sport' and competition without the steroids and the blonde trophy wives.

amicus...(That ought to get your thread going for ya)

You are such a smart-ass (lord, I hope you're being sarcastic  ).

I hate this time of year. I stopped enjoying baseball a long time ago and this is like the Death Valley of the sports season. I'm looking forward to both Basketball & Football resuming (there have already been some very interesting off-season developments in the NBA). Unfortunately, the Bears won't be returning to the Superbowl (barring a miracle), but we're used to it in Chicago. :(

Chicago Sucks big time, almost as bad as Detroit and for the same reason, Unions and Democrats, even though the film "The Lake House" tried (thanks to liberal Hollywood), to revive a dead 'Daley' city.

Both the NBA and the NFL have declining viewership because it has become mostly black athletes competing. Even Tennis, is tarnished with Venus and Selena Williams, call me what you want, but the public speaks...they just don't watch anymore and both the NBA and the NFL are in a precipitous decline because of the racist overtones to everything about the sports.

No, not sarcastic at all, thas the way it is...your ideology blinds you.

Ami -

Of everything you've ever said, this might be the most offensive.

I saw a special about NASCAR, how they were promoting drivers who were "of color" and attempting to open up the sport to a wider variety of people.

So I suppose they'll be as "tainted" as the rest of the sports, then?

Hello Sweets...you seldom address me anymore and if you do, it remains in the same venue, 'offensive'.

You have a mindset and an ideology to support it which I cannot combat as it is, with you, a religion; you 'believe' it as a 'godlike' thing, it is your faith.

I do not like black people. I have reason. That is my right.

While you pay 'lip service' to diverse opinions, you have set limitations and I do not fall within your boundaries; so be it.

Much like your opinions on society, economics, and philosophy, you want a 'cafe latte' light brown complexion to humanity and you want or dream or desire a 'non confrontational existence for all things.

Life ain't and never has been that way.

Dream as you may.

Life, like evolution, is competition. The fit survive.

There is a world war about to erupt and your blindness leaves you unprepared to even realize it; so sad.

I don't know you, Sweetsubsarah, know nothing about you, have not looked, or inquired and will not, thus it is not you, personally, I confront here, but your faith, your words, your ideology.

Like many of your cohorts on this forum, you could never, ever, admit that your entire philosophy of life is in error and I understand that.

But reality, not I, will bite your sweet little ass.

Thank you for not attacking me personally, ami. That's generally been your response on my opinions, which is why I've always responded in kind.

As to your comments? I feel sad for you. It seems you stopped thinking about twenty years ago and have since slapped a couple of coats of varnish on your thoughts and called 'em good.

Typical female response my dear, and the insistence of the last word, doesn't work with me.

I am most likely more up to date on everything than you are, since your mindset was formulated in the 60's, which was really left over 30's and you have not moved on.

You need to grow up, kid, take stock beyond "Woodstock" and take a real, reality look at the new century.

Your 'new left' persona is old news, no one wants to even hear it.

Get a new gig.

Woodstock?

Um, hate to break this to ya, Ami, but when Woodstock happened I wasn't old enough for preschool yet.

But nice try.

Keep plugging away, old timer. You'll come up with something that fits.

"...the greatest moment in the history of American sport..."

I will accept NASCAR is a sport only if you all agree this is a sport.

I'd have to agree..
Besides, I don't think I could possibly qualify as a NASCAR fan even if I wanted to.

How can you even complain about that?

You slam me for every possible reason, no holds barred.

Then when I toss a zinger your way - age, your penchant for the young lasses, you huff in offense and claim foul.

Tsk.

Like all bullies the only fights he enjoys are the ones where the damage he suffers is to his knuckles.

No fair his victims fighting back.

I don't mind the intellectual snobbery surrounding the left, I rather expect it, but am surprised how many lefties watch soap opera's and professional wrestling while thumbing their collective noses at the most watched competitive sport in the world, right up there with european futbol, we call it soccer....

Don't really mind you being biased, your choice.

Er... what's wrong with soccer?

Nascar is NOT a sport.... when they have 14 more tires, make right hand turns, have to drive a 70+ feet vehicle through the middle of downtown Chicago, LA, or New York City... all the while making sure not to hit some poor old woman that stepped off the sidewalk into a snow and ice filled street then I will agree that they are 'professional drivers' and will consider it a sport

I miss my Steelers... I hope that they remember to play football this year and not golf. ;)

:( Do we have to be so negative concerning the LEFT?

-sensitive, conservative left-hander who neither watches soap opera's or "pro" westling..

This man hasn't been happy since they let the children out of the mines, Lady. To him, 'left' is synonymous with 'absolute evil'.

He probably hides under his bed when the sun rises and sets. The sky is red and he's probably afraid it will infect him. ;)

Chuckles, thanks for the note of humor, this thread needs that.

I have nothing against left-handers at all, matter of fact I read somewhere that those blessed with a gauche dexterity are many times of higher intellect than those right-handers are.

***RGraham, you should go back to putting me on ignore, since you can't defend any position you take and can only attack my character. Go back to sleep you silly little boy.
