Well, after all the drama of thinking my story got deleted and then fixing my computer and finally seeing my story queued up for release, I accidentally pressed “edit” and had to resubmit even though I didn’t make any changes and now it’s stuck pending again. It’s a constant astonishment to me how many ways I can find to trip over my own feet when it comes to technology!

I did put a note in the “notes to admin” section so hopefully it’ll get rereleased soon. Meanwhile I look forward to reading the ones that are already out!

Great to see the first tranche of stories published! Mine is "Hands off the New Girl". It tries to navigate a delicate space between a blokey, over-masculine workplace with some recent harassment issues, and a budgeoning romance between the two most junior workers. Hopefully it worked okay - comments warmly welcomed.

It's such a buzz to see what people come up with for a challenge/event like this, and it's also nice that it's not a competition - it's just about the joy of creation. So much, um, stimulation! Hopefully yours will be up soon. Several times I've clicked on a story that I've submitted, and then clicked on the 'back' button or closed the browser in a panicky way to exit - it's been okay and there's beeen no need to resubmit. It will all work out okay anyway.

The posting period is between April 18 - April 24

Final list to be posted on April 25, Friday

So submissions will go up between now and the 24th, and then the page from Lit listing all of the story entries will be published on the 25th

You are not alone... I had hoped mine would be over the weekend but is stuck pending for two days. That's quite rare for event stories.

For a few moments my entry Maya’s Bistro with 130 votes made it to the top of the all-time list in the Romance category, even higher than Dreamcloud’s famous story The Rehab. Grabbed a screen shot, even. I thought the story was OK but certainly not in that league. Then the inevitable forces of gravity and sanity took over and with the next 150 votes, the score drifted down out of the stratosphere closer to where it probably belongs, but it was a kick while it lasted.
