"On the Job" Story Event 2025

This is a nightmare scenario for me, and why I keep most of my stuff on the cloud 😳
I write on my iPad and desktop and transfer back and forth through the draft function here on literotica, so I have a couple places where i have previous versions stored. Not because I’m trying to be safe, but just because that is the dumb answer i came up with.

2 computers, both load to the cloud and stories are immediately available on the other computer, plus I backup one of the computers automatically to an external drive. Never hurts to be overly cautious.

Thank you so much, everyone, for your kind replies! :rose: I'm still amazed at how supportive this community is.

I'm astonished to be able to tell you all that I FIXED MY LAPTOP. I took it apart and saw the toothbrush-looking thing was partly detached from the green shiny thing, so I gently pushed it back in and put it back together, and now it WORKS BETTER THAN BEFORE. I'm still new here, so you guys don't know what a god-tier MIRACLE that is lol.

I'm now very glad for the times I 'helped' my ex fix computers by handing him tools like an OR nurse to a surgeon. I still don't know anything, but I think I absorbed the way it's *supposed* to look, if that makes sense - so I could tell what was out of place this time since it was easily visible.

I'm just checking OP here to make sure I follow the guidelines precisely while submitting it. Again, thank you to those who replied so thoughtfully; it means a lot. :)

Great news! Now set your work to backup properly! I use Microsoft Onedrive - everything saved to the cloud with a local copy. But there are lots of different solutions. You never want to be in that situation again.

In other news, the toothbrush-looking thing and the green shiny thing are now over in Sci-Fi/Fantasy, energetically producing new laptops together.

I know not everyone here agrees, but I, for one, am a big fan of happily ever after endings, lol.

Looking forward to reading your story, and all the rest that come out tomorrow!

Hi. I'm feeling really dumb right now. I spent a week on my story to get it in at the start, submitted it and forgot to include OnTheJob in my notes. It's submitted queued for publishing tomorrow on the opening date. Is there anything I can do still?

PM Laurel to add the story to the event list.
Thank you This is very helpful but I am soooo new. Joined last month and only on my third story. I have seen the name Laurel and I know that she's some sort of great leader that makes this all possible, but I have no idea who she actually is or what her username might be.

I’m SO ON IT. I make plenty of stupid mistakes, but I do try to avoid repeating the same ones when there are SO MANY new shiny ones to make! 😂

I backed up everything on Proton Drive, so that’s one panic attack that won’t get me again 😅

I’m rooting for the toothbrush-looking thing, despite the disapproval of the green shiny thing’s twin, who can be seen lurking in a corner sulking (thank you for my first good laugh of the day 😂)

Thank you very much, I look forward to these stories as well!

Now I’m going to try to figure out how people can see their stories queued up for release ahead of time, I thought it was a mystery cloaked in impenetrable shadow

Once a story has gotten a future publishing date, it will show in your Pending tab with a "Published" label, "New" label, and a calendar date in the near future!

Really appreciate that, I found it thanks to your pointer. 💐 It’s scheduled for release tomorrow - looking forward to seeing what everyone has come up with!

I got off my lazy duff and writ one for this event. I will post it tomorrow. I need to go over it one more time (for the hundredth and one time and I'm still going to screw the pooch with something not being right).

I'm lookin' forward to reading everyone else's work. Let the erotic stories roll!

Great to see the first tranche of stories published! Mine is "Hands off the New Girl". It tries to navigate a delicate space between a blokey, over-masculine workplace with some recent harassment issues, and a budgeoning romance between the two most junior workers. Hopefully it worked okay - comments warmly welcomed.
