This Thread is for anyone from Oklahoma. Post your location. Make Friends. Come back often and see who lives near you. You never know, you might meet your next best (online) friend! Post at your own risk ;) HAVE FUN EVERYONE!!!

I am from Grand Lake Oklahoma. That is in the North-East corner an hour north east of Tulsa.
Where are you from? How long have you been an 'OKIE'? Where else have you lived?

Okie

Not a native Okie, but have been here for quite a few years now. I actually love it here.

Good to hear from another Okie.

Re: OKIES - Past, Present or Future

I'm not a native Okie either.. came from New York, went to school at OU and decided to stay out here to work.. living in OKC now

hello there OUSteve! Originally from new york huh... did you move down here specificlly to go to OU or another reason? Just curious.
And thanx for stopin by!

Actually yeah, I came out to OU to study meteorology, but I hit calc 3 and it kind of derailed that train... finished up with a degree in Operations Management...kind of industrial engineering without the math

Hi!
I'm not a native Okie nor do I live there anymore. I lived in Idabel,OK for about 7 months when I was a teenager. Beautiful area.

im in the NW part of OKCi've been her for a year in one week, hope i can meet sum people here i still have little amount of known people here

Short thread

This is a pretty short thread, so I just thought I'd add a little to it. I'm from Bethany myself and lived in Oklahoma for around 22 of my 30 years. Damn, now that I stop and think about it that's kind of depressing. I really need to get out more.

What does this say?

The size of this thread makes me wonder if this says anything about being from Oklahoma? There's not many of us here or we don't want to admit that we're from Oklahoma? I know it doesn't say that we don't like sex because there's too many pregnant high schoolers in Oklahoma for that to be true.

Hey, (J)Guys & Gals!

Hopefully there aren't any pregnant h.s.ers on the boards, tho'. And their parents realize what living in the bible belt truly means, prob'ly.

That said, I miss NE and Central OK. I was raised in the B'ville area, and spent 8 years in Edmond/OKC going to school. Just can't beat that OK horizon. Somehow the sky seems bigger and everything around seems brighter in OK.

Luckily, I'll be going back on Wednesday to visit my Mama. Hope the weather holds as soft and cool as it's been here in mid-MO.

Oh, and bumpetty-bump.

Rock on, Edmond!

Lived there for about 9 years and miss that little community so much.

Tho' I don't miss the weekday traffic on Broadway Ext. Criminy! They need a better traffic plan.

I have good friends still in that area whom I often visit. <winking> Might have to add some of y'all to the list.
