Oh Que!

Safe travels!

Yes, travel safely jezzilee.

The longest journey I made today was downstairs.. We had breakfast with our Christmas guest who left when I fell asleep in my chair at the table  and then after a morning of slowing clearing up we brought a tray picnic of left overs to bed and watched miracle on 34th street. The weather is wildly windy again and grey, grey grey. We're so lucky, with more north parts of this country having been flooded I always think when a place so small has such regional variation in weather to escape the worst is a blessing.

Thank you ladies! Sounds like a fabulous day Elle! It is snowing like crazy here. Mom is taking me back and I cannot tell wait to get my own vehicle back!

New look? Like it!

Thanks Dave!! Welcome back!

Am I the only one worried bout Smooth?
The fekker just dropped off the radar.

You are not. I reached out to him via alternate forms of communication and have heard nothing yet. I hope he is okay!

I am now 26 miles away from where I am going....it will have been 10 hours in a car for a drive that takes me 6. Senior citizen bladders are the orst....did I mention see drives 60 in the 70 zones? If we just make it these few last miles in one piece I will be a happy girl

Happy landings? I hope you've plowed into town safe and sound..... and aren't alone.

Done travelling for a while. Planes buses taxis and trains...and I got my new visa before it expired tomorrow!

Best Christmas present.

welcome back michal. You were missed. And pensive? Smooth is ok. He will be back soon. Dave? Yes and yes.

On a side note, I worked today. With my boss out of town ihad to get deposits readyand do a ton of reorganization with the trucks. Omg. Snow to sleet today, had to get the crews ready,

Thanks Red! I am sneaking in these days now that I am 'with wife'... she is out paying the electricity.

Oh and hey, got news that my stuff is so close to being put through customs now. Maybe get it in the new year, after the 5-6 day New year holiday.

About fucking time, excuse the French.

And my other stuff is trickling in..2 boxes, then 10, a couple yesterday but still waiting for the mountain bike, maybe today. That's gonna be fun trying to put it back together, especially if they took off the wheels, the handle bars, and the pedals. Imagining the fun with the gear trains.

Watch this space. Kisses to the ladies, high fives to the guys!

Downtown in one of the largest cities in America and it is dead at 9 o'clock despite the fact that there are fifteen thousand sports fans just a few hundred yards from where I am.

Oh no! Not the real world intruding? It's supposed to be the holidays, Jezzi.

All snow up here.

It was kind of like that here today because of the weather.

All snow up here.

Mostly snow here too. The ice stayed pretty much south of us.

Still warm here. :(. But we are promised more normal temperatures before the end of the week.

I just trimmed the really awful ends of my hair. By which I mean I put my still weird to me not curly enough hair in plaits and pulled the ends taught and clipped them off neat with nail clippers. Literally just the ragged eat of ends.....about a half inch of them. It doesn't matter that its not going to be strait or anything, no one will be able to tell once its back to normal, which is going to be very soon, in plaiting it I've pulled the hair dresser's curls out so it will be straight so I'll want to get my own hair back for new year, and it good probably do with a freshen up.

I have missed your posts in here my beautiful friend!!! I do weird things with my hair Ll the time as you know. One day brown. The next crimson....one day all one length the next bangs!

I love your hair adventures. :).

I'm always about and read the thread. I didn't notice I wasn't posting on it

I am all about my girls!!!! You and calli and gypsy and Elizabeth and fermina... I love you all....

I am just kind of distracted right now

Well seems it's not sailing through customs right now. The 'agent' is playing cat and mouse, not telling us which customs office she is dealing with. BECAUSE she knows we know she overcharged us by 10 times exactly. (800 not 8000).
She wont even tell us the phone number, but we managed to work out from the net which of the 5 offices it was.
Now she is not so helpful. surprise surprise.
I do know that customs wont do anything with my stuff til after the new year holiday. Well that's the hope.
Off to Shanghai next week to deal with customs directly, pay the import tax (which apparently was all I had to do in the first place) and get it over the line.
agggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhh!

I did get the bike back together last night! yay!

I thought "Shanghai hai'ed" applied to people not goods.

It's a famous photographer with a young Yul Brenner as a subject. I look more like a blue-eyed Brenner then I do Downey.
