I am not finished unpacking or settling it, but hopefully soon.
Tomorrow people will come to begin evicting my noisy ceiling squatters and that should help.
I need to finish unpacking or at least find my winter clothes, hang my paintings, then set up my office and studio. Everything is just functionally crowded right now, but not really very efficient.
So far the only Christmasy thing up is an advent calendar in the shape of a house.
I will probably put up lights after Hanukah is over.

Halfway into my surgical recovery, I am back at my mother's through Christmas. I may have company for New Years, and if that happens I will house sit for my boss and entertain there. We are putting up a tree this weekend, the lights are still on the house from last year when I put them up so I didn't have to figure out a way to do that from crutches this year! I am over my little pity party poor me it's the holidays stint I think. Trying to find the spirit.
During my first month off of work after the ankle reconstruction I dyed my hair fire engine red and got a tattoo. I have three more weeks to go... who knows what trouble I will find to get into.

Wow, you are on a roll. I just cut my hair fairly short. I have been skipping parties but I will have to start going soon. I have 3 this Saturday plus some trains to see Thursday and Friday.

No, one is the Canadian Pacific Holiday train, and it just comes in, performers play music and takes donations. http://www.cpr.ca/holiday-train/united-states

That sounds like fun. I wish there was *anything* do do in this area... would make the time off more enjoyable....I should have stayed in Madison.

Interesting dreams. Busy ones. I cannot relate them to life or anything I have seen or read or heard recently.
Also one of the cats sat on the ipad through the night ( its there because I use a guided meditation or hypnosis to help aid sleep) and selected something incompatible with sleep with her foot.
Nonetheless I feel I slept well.
Someone else did my chores for me apart from critter feeding, so I am off to give these animals some late breakfast and have some apple and quince yoghurt and make some coffee.
I am still waiting for sleep to grace me with it's presence. I have never had quince... I am going to have to look into that.

You like cheese, yes? Can you see if you can get some membrillo where you are? Concentrated cheese jelly, to form a paste to eat with a cheese plate, also good with some cold meats.
The fruits themselves, in a bowl, add perfume to a home like little else can. We got only one on my young trees this year!.

LOL I just had an interesting conversation with my pooch. His name is Cody. He was given some steak scraps tonight and he ate a few and wandered off. I thought this was a very odd thing indeed. Pretty soon he comes up to the couch that i am calling home these past few weeks and jumps up on the end. He then attempts to dig into the back of the couch, and then he looks at me with a big chunk of meat in his mouth. He puts it down on the couch and pushes the blanket over it. Then he hops down and stares at me. And stares at me. And stares at me. Five minutes later, he hops back up, grabs it, and heads back to his dish and finishes dinner.
He is a little scamp!
I think it was a gift, Jezz. You might have offended him by not eating it.

You brought back some beautiful memories from my childhood
My mom would always put a few on top of the woodburning stove standing in the corner. It would slowly ripen there while keeping the room gently scented.

I am soooo irritated right now. To look at my ankle you would never even know I had surgery on it again. The Surgeon used the exact same place as my previous one so many years ago. However, today it has been brutally painful, and I thought that was behind me! I have so much to do and so little time to do it...UGH!

Is it sore because its healing? Have you over used it?
Have you called a number to take advice??
I am having an annoying afternoon too. But not so bad as that..
I am not sure why it is being a pita. I am trying not to over use it, still using one crutch as directed, I think it just wants to let me know why I am not working yet.
I hope your annoying afternoon turns into a much more pleasant evening!
