Oh Que!

I would imagine you're getting a bit stir crazy not being at work, knowing what I think I know about you.

What you think you know is correct. I have been going quite insane.

3-4 months? :(
I know you hate to sit on your bum, but please be careful and don't hurt your ankle!

I think it would only be 2 to 3 months now because I have already been off for a month. I wont do anything to mess up the surgery, this was kind of my ankles last chance.

Maybe that will help. I hope your boss is mindful that you might be a little limited in what you can do. Good luck!

I think he is. I hope so anyway. I will bring him the documents from the Dr. let him read things himself. I have to do Physical Therapy, they said that how that goes will depend on when I go back to work but typically, he releases around the 3 to 4 month mark.

Waiting for news on the Jezzi plan......

I'm a sad girl today. The cast came off and my doctor sat down with me and showed me pictures of the inside of my ankle and what he did. It was a bit unnerving to see it flayed open like that bit it was also very interesting. He knew I wanted to go back to work tomorrow and wanted to show me why I was not going to do that. So, here I am heading back up north to my mother's where I will be doing physical therapy through the end of the month.

My leg and foot were so dry I look like an alligator. I have put lotion on probably seven times already. I can't wait to get home and take a hot bath, then rinse off in the ahower. It's going to be so much easier than dangling one foot out of the super deep claw foot bathtub.

How are you today elle?

I'm sorry you didn't get better news. I know it's tough having your whole life rearranged right now, but it will be worth it when you're all healed up and able to get back to the things you love.

Sorry you're sad today, Jezz, but please don't use the word flayed when you're referring to the human body.
Hang in there, champ!

It sounds like the surgery was successful, at least. "This too will pass." You'll be up and around in another month.
I'm too cheery, as always. You have a right to be sad. I would be.

Well, you have more to do now, with getting the skin back in order and you'll soon have therapy to do. Knowing you you will do it to the BEST of your ability, but make sure to ask how mush is too much to repeat at home Sweet one.

Baths! Fragrant baths! I love bath oils, I don't think any other additive bests them for scent or luxury.

I'm good thank you! I just had a lavender shower, and girl dog, is on the bed, as G had gone, and we are winding down. I have 'sensible coffee morning' with one of the respectable older ladies in the village who is charming and lovely. I'm very fond of her. But I'm wondering what she wants. :D;)

I am sure she wants nothing more than to be your friend. I wish you could see yourself as others see you.

I am trying not to be disappointed. I got to see the whole crew today and now all their Christmas candy will have to be new years gifts because that is when I will see them next. My candy making is probably going to triple this year. I am excited about that.

I am it worried about the PT. I am excited to make this ankle the best it can be.

Hi Callie! I hope today was pleasant for you! You are correct. I am looking forward to a healthier ankle, it will make volleyball and softball this summer so much more enjoyble.

Ooooo.... what kind of candy do you make?

I start out with chocolate covered cherries because they need time to get juicy centers I make about a million peanut butter balls. They seem to be everyone's favorites. I make several kinds of truffles, chocolate, peanut butter and rocky road fudge, angelfood candy - that one is so much fun - jello candy which is on the lines of divinity I usually make about four flavors. Jello candy is a two person job. A new favorite are white chocolate ores cookie balls. I am probably forgetting something but this is something my mother and I have been doing with family recipes and some new ones I added. Since my mom is no as healthy as she once was I have taken to borrowing my two favorite teens and we have made it our radition. Oh yes, the 15 year Olds favorite...we also make rock candy.

Thank you pensive...it was the word that came to mind when I saw my ankle....8 won't go into details because it certainly was not pretty!

It shall! I only have to have some patience...

Chocolate covered cherries are one of my favorite things! They remind me of my mother. I think they reminded her of her father. They were always a Christmas thing, and the centers had to be clear, not creamy. I've never tried making them. :)

Sounds like you're going to be busy! I usually just do a bit of baking: cookies, cakes and breads. I give those as gifts.

 I'm so sorry. But I'm happy you'll follow his advice. I'm sure at the end of the two months it will have worth it.
Do you ever knit or crochet? I know it sounds silly, but being able to create something even when you're limited in other ways can be rewarding.

I wish you full and speedy recovery!!! :rose:

I like to bake as well but there is usually not much time leftover. I give the candy as gifts as well. I know which family members like which things and pack the boxes accordingly.

What kind of cookies cakes and breads do you make?

I should have done the chocolate covered cherries around Thanksgiving so that they would be totally clear by Christmas, but, ankle.

Sorry about your predicament, but mad jealous of the tub.

Thank you gypsy! I'm coming around. I don't like disappointing people so handing my boss the letter from my doctor was really hard. I was teary and everything until he hugged me. I felt way better then.

What's new in texas? Any excitement in your life?
